Toilets for High School Girls

Have you ever imagined, not drinking a drop of water from morning 7:00 am to 4:00 pm because there are no bathrooms to use. Imagine the plight of a teenage schoolgirl with added period problems too. Tears in my eyes when girls told me about the issue when I visited the local high school during my recent India visit. With the help of all my friends and family members, I'm planning to build at least 6 bathrooms for 350 girl students in Inugurthy ZPPS. Sharing this post with you because you are one among my friends.

Earlier we raised money for library and boys bathrooms (pardon me, at that time I was under the impression that girls already have bathrooms), happy to say, those are being put to good use.

To construct 6 bathrooms from the scratch, with plastic Sintex Tank for water, we got an estimate for 3 Lakh rupees.  Planning to install a vending machine for sanitary napkins too.  Planning to raise how much ever I can with this fundraiser, if not planning to pay from my pocket if I couldn't raise the much-needed amount.  From my past experience, the estimate can sometimes go overboard too, but I'm willing to pay if that is the case. Pitch in and do your part as a payback to the society as we are one among those fortunate few.
