Basketball Missions Trip to D.R.

I have an opportunity to go the Dominican Republic with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA athletes and coaches are teaming up with Locking Arms men’s ministry to do a mission week in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.

We are partnering with Holt’s House of Hope (HHH) to assist them in their construction need and to encourage their children.
We will be assisting in the building of an office and classroom to be utilized by children being served by the staff of HHH. The mornings will be devoted to assisting with construction for those who can do the physical labor at HHH in Boca Chica. There will be an alternative Vacation Bible School time in the mornings as well to lift up the children.

There will be afternoon Outreach Basketball Clinics at a nearby court. Our co-leader Denny will supervise the basketball outreach and he will have collegiate and high school players assisting him.

The final area of focus which will be woven throughout the week is our community building emphasis. This includes: work and worship times, sharing meals and recreation time (Pool & Beach) together at The BelleVue Dominican Bay Hotel and our optional prayer walk/evangelism outreach in the late afternoon or evenings.
