Basically, We Need Help...BADLY

Donation protected
Hello there, we' re the Cheney's. My name is Alex, my wife's name is Wendy. I am a 100%  disabled Army vet. I served for 8 years, 4 of which were active duty. I was deployed to West Berlin, assigned to the 1st Battalion,4th infantry in the 80's, prior to the fall of of the Berlin Wall in 1989. In 1985, I was seriously injured. To the point where I was declared medically dead twice. By the grace of God, I'm here. I am filled will all sorts of springs in my back, severe Sciatica in my legs, and because my head was crushed in the accident, I have severe TBI amongst a lengthy list of countless other things...but I am here, and for that I am grateful.

Now for the reason I'm here. I have been in a seemingly never-ending fight to simply see my daughter for years now. I've been paying child support for a child that I haven't seen in over 6 years. I don't regret a single cent that I've spent in order to continue the fight, but I have to admit, as of right now, we are in the deepest pit that we've ever been in, and as much as it pains me to have to ask for it...we need help. Badly. As of today 10/21/2020, we are unable to pay our rent. We're basically walking on eggshells everyday, constantly worrying about getting that eviction notice. Every cent we get, we try to save up, but something always pops up. Of course, there's also having to provide food for my family. As of right now, between my wife and I, we have only $19 to our name, and we've exhausted all options except starting this GoFundMe. We've applied for Food Stamps, we're hoping to hear something soon, but like a lot of things now-a-days, it's a matter of "hurry up and wait" when it comes to DSS. Especially right now in the middle of a global pandemic.

In conclusion, at this point, we are all but begging for any help. We understand that, especially right now, everyone is pretty much in the same boat as us, or close to it. My wife has applied everywhere for work, but because of COVID, not many places are looking to hire, especially not in small town USA where we live. Work is few and far between. She's got serious health issues of her own that limit her to only being able to be on her feet for a few hours at a time before she is in pain that causes her to be in bed for the rest of the day. But she is still trying to find anything for work.

We set our goal at $2500 because that would cover Rent for this month and next month, and will allow us to keep our lights on. We understand that we are asking a lot from our friends and family, but at this point, this is the only option we have. Anything, even pennies, is greatly appreciated.
