BASH Flint Holiday Drive
Donation protected
As you may be aware, residents of Flint, Michigan still lack access to potable water more than two years after elevated levels of lead were detected in their water supply. While the state started has been providing bottled water to Flint households, our neighbors still have significant unmet needs everyday.
The Biomedical Alliance of Students in Health (BASH) has partnered with other groups across campus to provide a way to aid in the relief efforts for this water crisis. Beginning November 6 and continuing through December 20, BASH will be collecting monetary donations and personal care items for the residents of Flint who are still suffering from the shortage of clean water. If you would like to give personal care items (such as baby wipes, diapers, hand-sanitizer, cortisone cream, and shower products), please bring them to the donation box in the PIBS office or in your department office. You can also give monetary donations right here! As an extra incentive, the PIBS department that donates the largest sum of money per student will be given donuts at the end of the collection period!
To quickly recap:
Who? All faculty, staff, and students (you!)
What? Monetary donations and personal care items
When? November 6 through December 20
Where? PIBS office or in your department office
Why? To help our neighbors in Flint (and hopefully win donuts in the process)
Thanks in advance for your donations!
