As many of you may know Bart Hatcher was hurt in a horrible accident, on November 26, 2017 he was loading large hay bales to haul. A hay bale weighing approximate 1200+ pounds fell from his trailer and landed on Bart. He was flown flight for life to Pueblo, Co. as he has suffered paralysis in his arms and legs. Bart has survived this and underwent 2 surgeries to help repair the damage done to his spinal cord and back . He currently has slight movement in his legs, and we are hoping the movement will begin soon in his arms. He has been in Pueblo hospital for 3 weeks and 2 days. Yesterday Tuesday December 19, 2017 Bart was transported to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Englewood Colorado!!!!
Through all of this his daughter Kolbie has been by his side, as his main caregiver. Craig hospital provides housing for 30 calendar nights for the family to stay in. They encourage that the primary caregiver is up there to learn how to help the patient and learn to care for them if needed when they come home. What they are projecting is that Bart will be in Craig hospital for 3 months.
As you can see, there is a tremendous need to help financially cover expenses for Kolbie to be able to stay in Denver with her father for the entire time. Your generous donations will help pay for the immediate need for lodging, meals, transporation for Kolbie and her family. Along with helping relieve the financial burden of the hospital expenses that Bart is undergoing. This is going to be a long road to recovery and the last thing in the world that Bart, Kolbie, Derrick, and Price need to worry about is finances right now. They are focused on what its going to take to get Bart up and moving again.
