Barrett's Vet Bills

Hi! If you've had the privilege of meeting Barrett you know he's a special dog, and the biggest flirt. The only thing Barrett loves more than making a new friend who'll give him some belly rubs is playing fetch at the park. Barrett is an active, intelligent, curious dog who is loved by the many humans he calls friends. Unfortunately for the last few weeks Barrett hasn't been able to enjoy playing fetch or any real time outdoors after being the victim of a dog bite attack. An attack that left Barrett needing extensive medical care including needing a Penrose drain placed at the injury site.

While I expected to need to spend money on vet bills for check ups and routine vaccines, I unfortunately was not prepared to cover vet bills from a serious injury caused by an attack. As a full time student these bills are particularly devastating. These vet bills have totaled $2,830.58 thus far. Additionally we've spent money getting Barrett his medication, gauze and bandages to keep his drain and stitches clean and protected. Barrett is happy to see he now gets many many treats daily, but unfortunately the extra treats have come at a financial cost and have gone to hiding his medication. All in I have spent about $3,000 giving Barrett the care he needs. Even the smallest donation would go far in helping elevate the financial burden this attack has had on our lives.
