Barbara Geeslin's Medical Expenses

Our dear friend Barbara Geeslin has been suffering from health issues for the past few months.  Two weeks ago she was admitted to South Seminole Hospital and subsequently, was transferred to the Cardiac Care Unit at ORMC. After performing a heart cath, the decision was made to airlift Barb to Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville for further evaluation.  After running additional tests, including a four chamber heart biopsy, she has been diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a very rare disease.  This disease has attacked her heart muscle which prevents her heart from functioning normally.  Today, a balloon pump was inserted to help her heart pump blood to her other organs.  This is temporary fix to buy more time while her treatment options are explored.  This may include experimental treatments and/or possibly being transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, NY.  As you can imagine the expenses are mounting, we want to do what we can to help take the financial burden off Mike and Barb so they can focus on her health.  Please keep Barb in your prayers as the situation is critical and there are very limited options available to her at this time.
