On Sunday June 4th 2017 Barb was not feeling her usual self. Her headaches were getting worse than usual and her equilibrium was off. Throughout the week she was getting worse. By Thursday that week they were instructed to go the hospital. On Friday June 9, Barb was informed that she had a tumor located on the right side of her brain. The tumor was believed to be about the size of a pencil along with a lot of swelling. Barb's neurologist suggested she have CT Scan done of her chest as well. On Tuesday June 13 Barb was diagnosed with lung cancer. The following day, Barb had a biopsy. The biopsy was performed with a needle through her back. On Tuesday June 20 Barb did a full body scan and was diagnosed officially with Stage 4 Pilmonary Adenocarcinoma. On June 21st Barb had an appointment at the Andreas Cancer Center, During this visit Barb was informed that she did not have any cancer located in any other areas of her body. During this visit they were given some treatment options. Barb will go Rochester June 23 and have a consult to see if she will be a great candidate for a gamma study that will focus only on the tumor in her brain. One July 3rd Barb has an appointment to look further into her lung cancer. Within such a a short period of time Barb's left side of her body is becoming limited by having numbness and not having full motion.

Due to everything going on Barb is unable to work, along with that her significant other George has been missing work as well to assist Barb and be with her at each and every appointment.
