Please Help us avoid eviction
This is not how my husband Randy and I planned to start 2018. Unless we can find some immediate financial support, Randy and I face the prospect of being evicted from the small apartment we’ve lived in since 2010 Unfortunately, we each have mobility issues, courtesy of many arterial bypass operations, an amputation and cancer surgery for Randy, as well as my own recent hip replacement surgery. Out-of-pocket care and transportation costs mounted and the fixed income from our early retirements made it impossible to meet some of the monthly rent obligations for our apartment as well as cover the growing transit costs we require for ongoing rehab related to Randy’s arteriosclerosis.
While we’ve stretched our finances as best we’re able in order to get the care we require, unless we can raise $4,000 immediately to cover our accumulated rent shortfall, our landlord will force Randy and I to vacate our home, without a reasonable short-term housing alternative. All funds raised will go directly to meeting our immediate cost shortfall so we can avoid being evicted from our home in the next few weeks. Every little bit helps. Please pass this message along to anyone you think may like to help us stay in our home!
