We are Bar B!
We are a tiny hole-in-the-wall tapas bar! We are the only standing bar in NYC and we love to bring strangers together.
We are Chelsea and its community! Covid-19 is forcing us to shut down but we want to fight back!
As we are about to greet our 6th birthday anniversary (April 18th), "social distancing" may not make it possible to be together. But we cannot wait to celebrate soon. In the meantime, we come to you-- our beloved NYC family. As you can imagine, the best birthday present would be a fundraising present!
Any amount will do! And in return, we promise to do our best to ride out this storm so that we can rejoice again together with all of you-- the community we treasure as family.
For those of you who don't know us, on any given day, you'll see three of us pouring your wine, serving you incredible $10 steak, and wanting to bring you into the fold of the Bar B community. We'll sing and dance throughout the day, ensure that wine is always flowing while you dialogue intimately with strangers. Since NYC has restricted all restaurants and bars to take out only, our owner, cook, and manager have rolled up their sleeves to provide delivery. We have had to lose all other staff and cannot provide them with unemployment benefits.
If you're inspired to help us now we hope you can visit us after all of this. We will welcome you as part of our family.
This virus is a test of all of our conviction that we can break through and we are determined to cheers to all of you-- our community advocates-- in the very near future.
