BHC - BAME HEALTH & WELLBEING
Donation protected
Will you like to join us in making a difference in improving the health and wellbeing of BAME Communities?
The current pandemic has highlighted the divide between the Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community. Public Health England recently highlighted that BAMEs are” six times more likely to develop diabetes and generally have less access to high-quality care along with poorer health and worse healthcare outcomes.”
Success Stories so far:
BHC has registered with NICE which provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care. NICE will collaborate with BHC on relevant guidance, in draft, to understand how it may impact or improve the health of BAMEs.
What will we do with your donation?
BAME Health Collaborative (BHC) aim to be the trusted independent voice influencing national healthcare policies and strategy that impact on BAMEs. We aim to serve the BAME community to reduce inequalities and improve healthcare outcomes.
1. To fund essential research
2. To support BAME patients during hospital and GP clinic appointments with a BHC BAME trained companion
3. To refer BAME individuals to certified, professional BAME therapy and counselling practitioners
4. Provide mentoring to junior BAME healthcare professionals
5. Provide direct guidance on bullying, harassment and discrimination of BAME healthcare professionals
6. Provide tea talk sessions for BAME individuals suffering from mental health illnesses
7. To support the cost to administratively deliver BHC’s aims and objectives
