Balance Restaurant Small Business Relief Fund

We started Balance Restaurant two years ago.  The story is not one that most expect.  I've dreamt of owning a restaurant since I was a little girl, but I spent 20+ years in post secondary education.  The opportunity arose for me to fulfill my dreams.  I risked everything to bring this dream to life.  With no restaurant experience at all, I was determined to make this happen.  We were thriving in our short two years when the COVID-19 pandemic arose.  We have been so proud to bring something special to our hometown and downtown.  To be a part of our downtown revitalization has been something special that can't even be expressed in words.  Our downtown has grown so much in two years, and I do believe Balance Restaurant has played a role in that redevelopment.  We were set to open our brand new event space on April 9th.  Now with these difficult times, not only are we uncertain about the timing of the new event space, but we are concerned about the staff that has helped us build what Balance has become.  We are beyond proud of our accomplishments already - Best of....Farm-To-Table Restaurant 2019, 2nd place at the Showcase of Chefs, Best appetizer Taste & Tour, and on OpenTable we have received Top Restaurants in all of Western PA 8 times plus Best Value in all of Western PA!  Please consider helping Balance Restaurant get through this hurdle.  I pray that my dream does not stop here.  We have so much more to accomplish.  I vow to use these funds to keep our doors open and my employees employed!             "A big business starts small."
