Bailey, Kaitlynn, and their 14oz Baby Girl
Don protégé
Hi, my name is Raegan and I am creating this GoFundMe for my best friend Kaitlynn, childhood friend Bailey, and their unborn 24-week-old baby girl.
This pregnancy has not been easy on Kaitlynn. Especially since March 4th when their world flipped upside down. They received news no parents wanted to receive. Kaitlynn went in for a regular appointment and her doctor was concerned enough to air-flight her to UAMS that day. She has been at UAMS since March 4th and was told she won’t be going home pregnant. Unfortunately, their baby girl is measuring very small and they have been told at 24 weeks pregnant, their baby could come today, tomorrow, next week, or what would be a miracle, in a month. We pray their baby stays in the womb much longer, but she is not receiving the blood flow she needs to grow and develop. The risk of her living in the outside world right now is very scary, because she is measuring smaller than 24 weeks. Kaitlynn and Bailey will be looking at many medical bills to come, from being air flighted, Kaitlynn’s stay, their baby girl's hopeful NICU stay, staying 2 hours away from home, and providing meals. Their journey is not going to be easy financially, mentally, or physically. We ask you to lift them in prayer most importantly, but if you feel led, through this GoFundMe or Bailey’s Venmo which is @Bailey-Miesner.
Please pray that their baby girl receives all the support, medicine, nutrients, and blood flow she needs to develop appropriately for her arrival into the world. That she may be healthy and strong, and beat the odds. Please pray for Bailey, Kaitlynn, and their families peace of mind/comfort during this time.
Update March 6th
As of now, UAMS have provided all they can for Kaitlynn and baby M and are recommending they go home and wait for a miracle or wait for their baby to pass away. However, we pray and are hopeful the blood flow she is receiving miraculously allows her to grow and develop. Kaitlynn and Bailey are staying hopeful and will be visiting a specialist for a second opinion.
Update March 9th
As most know, we headed to NWA to see a specialist in chance of getting new hope and different opinions. when we arrived they did another scan of our girl as we talked to the specialist, he came in and looked at her scans & explained new things to us. At this point our sweet girl is measuring close to a month behind. Her strong heart is working so hard, fighting to keep up. Bailey & I decided for an amniocentesis done at that moment in hopes for better answers , in hopes to get a deeper look at what has happened, the outcome of this for us and for our sweet girl & our future. As we wait for more results, we are being told to go home, do our normal life & cherish each day we have with our sweet girl while she’s still in womb, not knowing how long we have with her. Right now Bailey & I will go day by day with our sweet girl inside & just continue to pray for her safety and strength that she’s already shown us she has. We know that god has her wrapped in his hands . Bailey & I want to thank everyone for the prayers, the kind words, thoughts, messages,& donations. We are asking for continued prayers for our sweet girl . Her heart is still beating ,she’s still fighting & so are we.
-Kaitlynn & Bailey
Update March 19th
Today we had a growth appointment at UAMS to see how our sweet girl is growing. She’s grown but still measuring a month behind. She’s gained 4 ounces & is now measuring 22 weeks. Her umbilical cord was giving her a small amount of blood flow but is now starting to reverse, which means it’s now starting to take away from her. The Drs told us her best option is for me to be admitted into Labor & Delivery & for her to be monitored closely. we are told we would more than likely meeting baby girl in the next couple weeks. we are continuing to pray for her growth, strength ,& that her cord doesn’t fully reverse. we ask everyone to please keep her in your prayers, we already know she’s such a strong fighter.
Update March 27th
Harlow Cameron Miesner has made her arrival into the world in the early morning. Sweet girl has beat SO many odds and has proved so many doctors wrong already. Bailey, Kaitlynn, and especially Harlow will have a very long road ahead of them in the NICU as Harlow continue to fight!!! Please say all the prayers that she continues to grow, her lungs develop, and for her amazing parents, Kaitlynn and Bailey.
