VOICELESS SOULS OF BAHRAIN NEED YOU.......
Sadly, Bahrain has a very poor animal rights record, with heartbreaking abuse occurring on a daily basis. There is also no governmental programme in place for the Catch, Neuter and Release Programme (CNR), hence numbers are multiplying at a hugely alarming rate. Furthermore, there are also some irresponsible expats who leave the country , abandoning their unwanted pets on the streets without being spayed or neutered, that adds to the increase statistics.
We are a non-profit, volunteer group of expatriate and local ladies from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, serving the 100's of stray dogs and cats on the streets of Bahrain.
As a group, we feed over 200 dogs on a daily basis and take the role of these four areas that is Feeding, Rescuing,Rehoming and the Catch and Neuter programme (CNR) very seriously.

Summer is fast approaching where we can expect temperatures in excess of 40 degs. Can you even begin to imagine any animal living on the streets with no access to water or shade, cope or let alone survive these harsh conditions?
1)FEEDING ACTIVITIES

2)RESCUING
a)Brownie involved with dog fights
b)Tiny with swollen glands
c) Bella died of human poisoning
d) Benji, back leg fracture due to hit by hard object
e) Elsa, mange and ticks
f) Blackie rescued from abuse and dog fighting
Last three pictures are puppies heavily infected with ticks, the main cause of tick fever among them. Ticks are everywhere at this time of year and pose a deadly threat.
3)REHOMING-Finding good homes

c) Marley the injured paw dog is now in Sri Lanka with his owner
d) Pepe and Moeke will be going to Holland soon

4) CNR
The CNR programme is running concurrently with our daily activities. It is tough sometimes when we are dealing with unfriendly and aggressive dogs. Traps are used when we are unable to catch them directly using leashes.

We are relentless and passionate in carrying out our programme. The expenses incurred, be it food, medication and vets bills, kennel boarding and anything required to meet the needs of the strays, are increasing daily.
To ensure that we are able to make a difference in the lives of the poor strays, we desperately need the funds to do so.
