Dear Friends and Family,
Becoming a Bat Mitzvah is about beginning the journey from childhood into adulthood. A big part of that growth is learning what it means to give back.
For my mitzvah project, I’ve chosen to support foster children through an organization called Fostering Hope, which helps make sure these children have the essentials they need.
I’m raising money to donate duffel bags for children who are moving between homes, so they have something of their own to carry their belongings in. Each bag costs about $25, and even a small donation helps. If every person gives just $5, together we’ll be able to provide many bags to children who truly need them.
Helping people who aren’t as fortunate as we are is so important. Not everyone grows up with the same stability. Something as simple as having your own bag to hold your things can give a child confidence during a really difficult time. Acts of kindness—big or small—remind people that they’re seen, valued, and not alone.
Thank you so much for your generosity and for being part of my Bat Mitzvah celebration.
Baila
