Help David Conquer Cancer

Hello, My name is David Rohde and I am now fighting stage two colon cancer trying to survive the cost of my ongoing care in the SF Bay Area.   I moved to California when I was stationed in the Army at the Presidio of San Franciso in 1989.  I built a home audio visual company that is responsible for the sights and sounds at several of the restaurants in SFO airport as well as many homes around the bay.   My business aspirations never exceeded my desire to deliver quality service with integrity to the people that helped me build the business.    I never expected life to throw this kind of curveball.   I went from being on a great thanksgiving trip east visiting family to not feeling well on the flight home to being admitted due to what I thougt was a little clogged plumbing.   Within hours I had been diagnosed with colon cancer and the whirlwind of decisions weren’t easy.  I had emergency Colon Cancer Surgery Thursday 11/30. They removed 3/4 of my large intestine, part of my pancreas, adrenal glands and 41 surrounding lymph nodes. Diagnosis: stage 2 colon cancer. Surrounding lymph nodes all tested negative so it was local. Best possible diagnosis for my situation.
My port has been put in and I will have chemotherapy for six months starting February 5th.

Although most of my Hospital bills were covered by insurance, the medical bills are still stacking up. I am about to start my next phase of treatment and I am unable to work during my recovery, so after having a successful business for the last 15 years, I find myself living off savings and the generosity of others.
