BADMAN RETURNS -- Burning Man 2018

Donation protected
Hi everybody!
We are the Badman Crew. About a year and half ago, we had this crazy idea to build an art car from scratch and bring it to Burning Man. One used school bus, thousands of pounds of steel, and hundreds of yards of blue fur later, the dream came true as the Badman finally drove out into the dust for the first time on the first day of Burning Man 2017.

It took hundreds of hours to come up with a design, create technical and engineering drawings, source materials, cut, weld, saw, paint, stretch fabric, run wires, and troubleshoot the gazillion problems that came up. Overall, it took 8 months of intense labor, before and after our day jobs, during weekends, usually starting at dawn and sometimes keeping us through the night. We got a lot of help along the way from our friends and family and we couldn't have done it without them. All that blood, sweat, and tears really did pay off though and we were so happy to share our creation with the BM community. We hope everyone could feel all the love that we put in to it. We had an amazing time, learned a lot, and also broke a couple things.

But now, we have to go even further and make the Badman even more bad! And we would like to invite everyone to be a part of the magic. We have great new plans for what we want to make happen next and would be insanely greateful if you could help us make the vision come true. We have plans for improving safety and security, ideas on how to make the Badman even more mutated, and lastly big plans on how to up our game in the light and sound department.
Because let's be real, isn't that what life is all about? Making cool things, safer, weirder, shinier and louder? The Badman crew thinks so!
To thank you for any contribution you may feel inclined to send our way, we've got some cool swag to show our appreciation. A thank you is cool, but a pendant or a t-shirt is even cooler! Please check the list further below.
We will begin working on everything soon so the sooner we reach our goal the sooner we can blast through all the funds on a bunch of new light up gizmos and furry madness for everyone to enjoy!

It is our very first fundraiser, and frankly, we have no idea what to expect. Between all the fees related to the bus itself and our equipment (parking, repair costs, insurance, storage room, registration...) and all the things we have to replace no matter what before next year's burn, that's approximatively $5,000. So that our minimum goal. However, we also want to add a lot of things to pimp the Badman and bring it to the next level, some ideas being crazier than others, the price may vary quite a lot. Here is a quick list of some of the stuff we want to make happen:

SAFETY
- New and improved handrail and ladder
- Cameras and screens for the driver and crew to better monitor the surroundings
Total: $2000

MUTATIONS
- More palmtrees and jungle-ifitcation
- Improved body structure
- More and weirder additions to the structure dressing
Total: $4000+

LIGHT
- LASERS, let's just say that again LASERS!!!
Sub-total: $4000 or more
- More and better LED accent lighting
Total: $5000+

SOUND
- Fixing our DJ equipment (the playa just destroys this stuff)
Total: $1000

Ok and now, the interesting part: check out all the dope things you can get if you join the prestigious club of Badman patrons. Needless to say, all of the gifts come with our eternal gratitude!!
