Back The Family Behind Badge # 11585

It’s with a heavy heart that I address you all today. By now I’m sure most of you have heard that Federal Air Marshal Brandon Merrell passed away last night.  Brandon was an operations officer here at the Washington Field Office and the loss is immeasurable as we fight to make sense of yet another tragedy within our ranks. Brandon is survived by his wife and three kids. In an effort of cooperation in a time of immense grief, the Air Marshal Association, in conjunction with GoFundMe, have launched a campaign to ensure that his family is supported financially and his memory is never forgotten. The AMA will match the first $12,000 ($1000 multiplied by four years for each child) in donations to the GoFundMe account in the form of scholarship dollars to be used by Brandon’s children as they become eligible.
