Baby Martinez's Medical Fund

Baby Martinez was unexpectedly born 16 weeks early on 7/22/17 weighing in at 1lb 7 oz and 11 3/4" long.  Her mother Tiana Martinez was in Florida with her daughter and two sons for the USA Elite Select World Fastpitch Championship (10u division).  She woke up Thursday morning (7/20/17) with heavy bleeding and went to the hospital to be checked out.  They did an ultrasound and found out she was dialating and had a bulging membranes.  The high risk doctor wanted a cervical cerlage procedure done, but when they tried, they could not get to the cervix . After the failed attempt, her water broke and an emergency c-section had to be performed because baby was still breech.  She came out crying and is breathing 60% on her own! She was transported to Nemours Childeren's Hospital in Orlando, FL where they are equipped to take care of her.  Tiana will have to spend 2 more days in the hospital, then should be released to go stay with her new baby.

The journey to get to go home will be a long one.  Tiana is 22 hours away from her family and home in Oklahoma City, OK. She has been told the EARLIEST Baby Martinez would get to go home would be in November.  Everything depends on how she progresses.  This is going to be very hard on her and her family with missed income from work, time away from each other and the huge financial burden this will cause.  We are asking for donations to help her and her family out with mediacl costs, travel back and forth from Oklahoma and Florida and for her missed work.  No amount is too small and it will all add up and greatly help.
