Baby Vihaan’s medical fund!

This is a medical fund to help our dear friend, Vanita pay for her newborn son’s medical bills. Vihaan was born with a congenital heart defect, on December 7th in Seoul, South Korea. His condition was undetected during routine scans and his heart has formed abnormally and he has 2 holes in his heart, which need constant medical attention.
In addition to this, Vihaan also suffered from low oxygen saturation levels, high hemoglobin levels and elevated white blood cell levels at birth and he had to be moved to a bigger and better hospital to undergo proper treatment, however due to poor hospital hygiene, where the nurses were having fried chicken in the ICU, he caught severe diarrhea and could not be transferred, worsening his situation! Vihaan is now finally out of the ICU and with his mother Vanita, and is undergoing routine monitoring as he needs coarctation surgery to correct a narrowing in his aorta.
It has been, and still is, a long, frustrating and anxious period of distress for Vanita and her 5-year-old daughter Niko, who are going in and out the hospital, all while having to worry about the mounting and on-going medical bills. This fund is a request to help Vanita, who is deeply grateful for the prayers and generosity of friends, family, and anonymous donors who have already raised $2,300, which helped pay for the initial tests and ICU treatment - thank you!
Creating this fund, our goal is to raise $10,000 to help Vanita pay for the on-going tests and surgery of her son. Please help us support Vihaan - who is a tiny, little fighter and who was given a Hindu name meaning “new beginning”. We can only imagine that this situation is a mom's worst nightmare and her focus should be on helping Vihaan get better and not on how she will find the money for his hospital bills. Vanita, who is a single mom of two, teaches in the day and bakes her famous “Amarula Cheesecakes" at night and she has been trying to establish her restaurant, Twiga, for the past year - all while taking care of her precious daughter Niko. Those who know Vanita, will also know how incredibly caring and giving she is and how she is always there for others who need help. Let’s do everything we can to help her back!
