This story can still yet have a happy ending. Eight months ago my then fiancé & I turned to surrogacy, through a well-known surrogacy clinic in India, as a way of fulfilling my dream of becoming a mother. That dream has now come true, except for one last hurdle, with which I need your help!
On 10th May 2013 my surrogate mother gave birth to TWIN Girls! Yet Namaeya and Hati, were eight weeks premature and have since spent their lives in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Delhi Newborn Centre.
Though their birth weights were only 2.2 and 1.6 pounds respectively, both have proven to be fighters and the worst is now over for Namaeya. I cant say the same for Hati who still remains fighting her life in NICU.
My current NICU costs are approximately AUD$600 a day for every day that Hati spend in the NICU.
The funds I had set aside for this contingency have already run thin, with my surrogate in and out of hospital for the last 4 months of gestation.
I am now a single mum that is a self-employed mortgage broker and even once Hati begins to pick up it is estimated that it will be 3 to 4 months before I return home to Australia with my beautiful girls this time away from my business is financially crippling.
Your generosity will not only assist me in maintaining the highest level of care for Hati it will also allow Namaeya & I to continue to stay in India be with Hati until she is well enough to travel home to Australia
Namaeya and Hati are the culmination of years of heartache, disappointment, determination and finally, hope.
Just as Hati has not refused to give up on life, I will not give up; your donation will make the world of difference in giving them the best chance of a wonderful future returning home with me.
