A Bright Future for Baby Clara

On Dec. 13, 2017, four-month-old Clara Calloway was injured severely by her non-domicillary parent while visiting him. She sustained a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain, retinal hemorrhages, a fractured wrist, and repeated seizures. She is no longer using a breathing tube and is improving day by day.

Clara will require some longterm medical care, including anti-seizure medication. She will also not be able to be left alone for any duration of time, which presents certain logistical challenges because her mother is also caring for her older sister and does work.

This GoFundMe has been organized by the social media team of GroVia Modern Cloth Diapers; Kate is a participant in our social media community and has made many friends among our community. This is an extension of the GroVia Families Comfort Fund. Our goal is to raise some funds to help Clara's mother, Kate, to be able to take ample time off work while Clara is hospitalized and during her transition home. Kate and Clara are the beneficiaries of this GoFundMe, and Kate has sole control over the funds.
