Our Princess (Epilepsy Diagnoses)

Donation protected
On Monday 8/20/2018 we woke up to our 11-month old having a 103 fever, but what happened next changed our lives forever.  What appeared to look like a child coming out of her sleep was later discovered to be a seizure.  As I rushed to get to the hospital as fast as I could, my daughters condition worsened and I was forced to pull over while my wife dialed 9-1-1.  Since being admitted to Kaiser our daughter Charlie has been transferred to three hospitals and seen by several neurologists and seizure experts who haven't been able to determine the cause or extent of damage.  Before Monday our beautiful little girl was the happiest baby you'd ever come across, sticking her little hand out to strangers as her way of saying "hello" or pulling my face in to give me a kiss because that's the kind of loveable baby she was.  My wife and I are devastated by what happened to our little girl and wonder at times why this happened to us?!?!  We want to cry, yell, scream, and put life on hold.  Not to mention the medical bills that have been piling up.  My daughters condition has forced me to take a leave of absence from work to be by her side.  What's made our situation more difficult is that I was the only source of income.  As prideful as I am, I am embarrassed to ask for help, but understand that this has become necessary with everything that has happened.  At this point I am asking for any help, whether in the form of prayer or donation.  Tomorrow is our little Angel's 1st birthday, and instead of opening presents she'll be here in the ICU waiting for a miracle.  Charlie has lost her ability to sit up, carry her bottle, and crawl and it makes me cry thinking about all the little milestones she may never reach.  For those of you who have little ones, please hold them tighter tonight, and don't take them for granted.  Love them, embrace them, and enjoy the precious moments you have with your kids, because they can be taken in an instant.  I pray nobody ever has to go through what we're experiencing because as the days go by and life goes on... our world has stopped...
