Help us raise money for Rylee- Hope, our baby with coartation of the aorta
This is our story
We found out we were expecting a baby in january 2019, At our 12 week scan everything was looking great then it got to the time for our 20 week scan, everything was fine but the baby was in the wrong position to get a few mesurements and find out the sex so we were booked in again. On the next scan we found we were having a girl but also that she had an abnormality with her heart so we were refrered to charlotte's and chelsea hospital in london for further testing. It was there we found our baby has coartation of the aorta, a narrowing of the main artery coming out of her heart. The left side of her heart is alot smaller and there is a collection of fluid.
❤Every week since then we travel from Essex to London to have scans to check her heart and growth. She is growing but will be a small baby at birth.
❤We have been told rylee will be born between 37-38 weeks( 3rd -10th september)
Once rylee -Hope is born she will be put on prostin to keep her heart open and be transferred to the royal brompton hospital for testing to see her heart and to have open heart surgery within days of life.
❤We are expected to be in hospital for up to 6 months as it may be worse than we see now and further surgerys will be needed.
❤Rylee-Hope was born on the 5th september 2019 at 9.42pm via emergency c section weighing 5lb 6oz
