Baby Oriah and Parent's Future Funds

Hi there, my name is Chelsea and I am setting up a GoFundMe for my beautiful cousin and her family. Many of you know Trystin, Tallulah/Norma and Oriah were in a major car accident thanks to another person's decision to be careless.

 

Trystin suffered minor injuries while Norma and Oriah were not as fortunate. Norma absorbed the impact directly and needed to be cut out of the car - her injuries include multiple (at least 8) broken ribs, a hole in her diaphragm, lacerations on her liver and kidneys, a punctured lung and internal bleeding all while miraculously protecting Oriah and keeping them BOTH ALIVE! SUPER MOM!!!!

 

Once at the hospital baby Oriah was born at 6:49pm on Feb 9th during an emergency surgery (where Norma was put to sleep so that they could also work on fixing her internal injuries), they discovered the placenta had separated on impact leaving Oriah with an unknown amount of blood and oxygen depravation. She will have hypothermia treatment followed by MRI to determine how affected she was by this (if at all) - per the Neurologists Baby Oriah is already a fighter and showing promising signs.

Norma and Baby Oriah are yet to be reunited as they are both being treated in Intensive Care units for their medical conditions. We are hopeful that this will happen sooner than later!

 

As you may know or can imagine, their incomes will be severely compromised and expenses for a new baby are an obstacle alone, but this is a whole other situation. Many have asked about flowers/gifts/donations to help them so we thought this would be our best option to help them. These funds will be used to help them adjust to their new reality and navigate any other needs and expenses that may arise. They will need a new vehicle for transportation, medical expenses, newborn expenses, food, rent, and just as we all know LIFE IN GENERAL IS EXPENSIVE! Any donation and/or words of encouragement with emphasis on positive vibes and healing is much appreciated. They are all overwhelmed by the amount of love and support they have already received since their lives were so abruptly changed forever. Thank you all - for everything.
