LittleNyiah’s fight with Necrotising Enterocolitis

At six days old, one of our identical twin girl babies, Nyiah, was diagnosed with Necrotising Enterocolitis-
a devastating disease that affects the intestine of premature infants. The wall of the intestine is invaded by bacteria, which cause local infection and inflammation that can ultimately start to destroy and kill the bowel. Nyiah needed emergency surgery on her large bowel where it was discovered 90% was already dead & needed to be removed to save her life.
A stoma was put in place to give her body a rest.

She battled sepsis & now only has 10% of herlarge bowel left along with enduring two major surgeries & will require more urgent surgeries in the near future- especially her urgent heart surgery. 
She now suffers from heart, spinal & lung defects- some of these requiring urgent surgery that will need to be performed interstate ASAP that will require travel, medical & additional expenses. 

We have been unable to work due to her high level of care & also have three other dependants, one of which is her identical twin sister, who have also suffered greatly -Anything that we could put towards our family & Nyiah’s on going care, future surgeries and expenses would go a long way.
