Baby Lila's CHEO Fundraiser

We're raising money to benefit The CHEO Foundation on behalf of Lila, the daughter of Alexie Hull-Charlesbois, a colleague of mine in Ottawa as a Station Agent. Lila was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus due to a large brain tumor and her right kidney is not functioning. The swelling in the brain was only discovered during her 33 week ultrasound. The large tumor is pushing on her brain stem which might affect her breathing and they may need to put her on a respirator after the  emergency cesarean. Surgery only has a 10% success rate but it might not mean she will have a good quality of life and further assistance throughout her life.

Nous amassons des fonds au profit de la fondation CHEO, au nom de Lila, la fille de Alexie Hull-Charlebois, une de mes collègue qui travail comme agent de gare à Ottawa. Lila a été récemment diagnostiquée d'un hydrocéphale causé par une grosse tumeur au cerveau, et elle a aussi le rein droit qui ne fonctionne pas. Inflammation au cerveau a été découverte lors de l'échographie de 33 semaines. La tumeur pousse sur le cerveau et peut affecter sa respiration. Elle devra probablement avoir un respirateur après la césarienne d'urgence. L'opération a un taux de réussite d'environ 10%, mais elle risque d'avoir besoin d'aide tout au long de sa vie.
