Baby Jamie’s NICU Support Fund

Hi, my name is Kylie, or, to those who know me by my middle name, “Dani.” I am raising funds to help cover my family’s expenses while my son is in the NICU.

My son, Jamie, was born 14 weeks early on Oct. 9th, 2023. He is a relatively healthy baby, but due to his extreme prematurity, he has a long NICU stay ahead of him. He will most likely get to come home around the time of his original due date of Jan. 13th, 2024. This leaves us with about three long months worth of traveling back and forth to visit him in the hospital. Unfortunately, the hospital Jamie is staying at is roughly 30-40 minutes away from our home across state lines.

This fund will help cover reoccurring expenses like gas, lodging, and food whenever we are able to stay on campus at the Ronald Mcdonald House. We plan on using this housing resource when it is our turn on the waitlist, however it is an extensive wait time so we’ll have to commute from home most days until it is our turn to check-in.

With gas being one of the biggest expenses and prices being inflated, having assistance with fuel would be a huge weight lifted off of our family’s shoulders throughout this difficult time.

Any leftover funds will be used to prepare and supply Jamie’s nursery for when he gets to come home, and to give back to the Ronald Mcdonald House Foundation.
