I would like to introduce little Suksma -first born baby to Agus and Wayan, born July 30 2018. Suksma is 4 weeks old & weighs 3.5kg and has been diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease. 
Not often am I one to ask for help but as many of you know, I have dear friends who reside in Bali who require some assistance to please help comfort our little Bali princess for a start of life that we all deserve.
Hirschsprung’s disease affects the intestines which result in severe discomfort in passing wind and stools.
Susksma little belly became extremely bloated at 15 days old and Agus and Wayan immediately took her to the hospital for examination.
Suksma was admitted to hospital for 6 days undergoing a procedure that required the insertion of a tube through her bottom to release the stool from her intestine. Further tests such as ct scan where they discovered the intestine surrounded with air and the barren test diagnosing Hirschsprung’s disease.
Bubba girl now requires an operation in 4 weeks time.
Wayan has a page set up for friends and family in Indonesia but I am aware that Agus and wayan have many friends in Australia that also may want to help where they can.
I have been in contact with Wayan almost every day with bubba’s progress and it breaks my heart that such beautiful souled people have been handed with immense stress when all we want is happiness and joy at this time.
As most first time parents, Agus and Wayan are very proud of Suksma and have been prepared and excited to welcome parenthood and to begin their very own family but unfortunately there are some things that no one can expect.
Agus is a hard working tattoo artist and is a talented and well respected man amongst his village and the local community in addition to the many neighbouring countries near and far with tourists becoming friends. Wayan is a full time carer as expected of a mummy of a 4 week old baby.
With such a short time to come up with the money to fund Suksma operation in addition to all the new born adjusting expenses that arise and Agus having to have some time off its right to say the unexpected lump sum can bring some heartache.
This family welcomed me with the upmost love and respect when I needed it most and have continued to do so, so much so that the saying “friends are the family you choose” reins so true.
