A Journey to Parenthood | IVF

First of all, thank you for taking time to look at our donation page. Thomas and I have been so blessed with amazing family and friends that have prayed for us relentlessly throughout this journey. Whether you give financially or just by adding us to your prayer list, we will be forever grateful. We started our infertility journey two years ago and have currently exhausted all of the affordable options that are available to us. We have tried oral medicine, injections, intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures, and I recently underwent a diagnostic surgical procedure to check for any other issues that we hadn't discovered yet. My surgery showed that everything was healthy and we are so grateful. However, that means there is no solid explanation for why we haven't gotten pregnant with the other fertility treatments. We have paid for all of the medications, tests, monitoring, blood work and procedures out of pocket with very little insurance coverage. Our fertility specialist is now recommending in vitro fertilization (IVF) which would yield a 70-80% rate of success of pregnancy whereas the other measures we have been trying only have a 10-15% success rate. Of course with a more high tech/invasive approach comes a lot more cost. The medicines alone cost thousands of dollars that we have to pay up front and zero amount of the IVF process is covered by insurance.
Thomas and I have decided to start the IVF process in January and we are very excited! Thank you for the continued prayers and encouragement. We can't wait to see what God has planned for us.
