Baby Briella's NICU Journey

Message from Crystal: Briella Annjolice Hensley made her abrupt appearance on 8/28 at 10:52 weighing in at 2lbs 11oz and 15.35 inches. She’ll be in the NICU until around Nov. It’s expected to be a rollercoaster ride and it’s a lot to update, but she’s doing okay!

I'm Crystal's cousin, Ashley, and I made this fundraiser for Crystal and her family so they can focus on Briella's journey in the NICU. Briella was born at 28 weeks gestation and is going to be spending the first few months of her life in the NICU. To clear up any confusion, all donations go directly to Crystal's bank account (the organizer has no access to the funds).

Having an infant in the NICU is not only emotionally taxing, it is also financially draining. Between medical bills, loss of wages from work and the cost of everyday expenses, it is more than anyone should have to deal with while trying to be strong in the toughest of circumstances. I hope we can all come together and help make this journey a little less difficult for Crystal, Church, Serenity and of course, baby Briella. Crystal has wanted a baby for so long and for her to have to go through this as a first time (birth) mom is just heartbreaking. (I said "birth" mom because she is a mom to Church's daughter, Serenity as well).
