Baby Brandons Battle

Hello family and friends! I'm asking for support for my sweet nephew Brandon who is only 18 months old. Early Wednesday morning, around 1 or 2 am, Brandon had a seizure after fighting a fever for a few days. He was rushed by ambulance to San Antonio hospital, the seizure having lasted close to 15 minutes. After given medication for the seizure and a spinal tap was performed, we received the unfortunate news that he contracted meningitis. Following this update from the doctors, Brandon had another seizure. 

Baby Brandon was soon transferred to CHOC (Children's Hospital in Orange County). He has been in and out of sleep, only waking up a few minutes at a time. When he does, he asks for momma and daddy, along with his bobba, because our little boy hasnt been able to eat much. Friday morning, he had yet another seizure. He is, now, going to have to stay a total of 21 days to get through a full trial of seizure medication, along with monitoring of his fever and meningitis. Last night, Brandon had a few more seizures, bringing the total up to 5. This morning, we recieved the results from MRI and found swelling in his right frontal lobe.  This could mean possible brain damage.

We're remaining extremely hopeful and praying, everyday, that baby Brandon will be fully-recovered at the end of the three weeks. 

In addition to this emotional and stressful time, my sister is ready to deliver her second baby, Marley Belle, any day now. The last thing we want is for my sister and brother-in-law to worry about any finacial burdens that lay ahead. My hope is that they feel comfortable taking the necessary time off of work to be there for their family. Everything helps!
