Baby Baylors MSD Battle

Donation protected
High school sweethearts  Teen parents Newlyweds Then becoming a family of 4 Anyone reading those 4 lines would have thought they had beat all the odds and nothing else could pop up on their road to happily ever after. But no one could have predicted what would happen next. Stormi was due November 3, 2019. It was a relatively uneventful pregnancy, as far as pregnancies go. Her dr's scheduled her to start labor along. October 31 their families and friends waited for the happy news we all expected. At 5:17 PM we received the text, baby is here. Tyler did follow up with a few stats and a picture. The excitement to go see mamma and precious Baylor in the following days was hard to contain. Little did we know that blissful expectation to snuggle a new baby would be turned into one of soul crushing fear. Around 11:00 pm, the medical staff broke the heart wrenching news there was a serious problem and he would need to be air lifted to sioux falls. He was bleeding in his head and needed immediate care. Baylor comes from a strong line of fighters! Warriors against odds that would crush the weak. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. There has been such an outpouring of support, prayers and healing thoughts. It is our hope to achieve donations for not only Baylor's medical bill's, but so that both Stormi and Tyler can stay by his side throughout this battle! Donations can also be dropped off at any Minnwest Bank Location under the name "Baylor's Fund". Thank you for all that each and every one of you have done and for your continued support of this young family. Though he is small, he is fierce! Update from Stormi and Tyler on November 5, 2019 I haven’t made a post about Baylor because I’m not really sure what to say. The last couple days have been a crazy trip to say the least. I’ll just give the main details- He has 3 different kinds of hemorrhages: subgaleal subdural subarachnoid During his mri this morning they noticed two abnormalities(both of them could have gone unnoticed): gray matter heterotopia Dandy Walker variant His heart doesn’t realize he’s not in my belly(least of our concerns): patent ductus arteriosus He will be tested for clotting disorders however they have to wait 6 months because he’s had so many transfusions. Any needle poke causes him to ooz blood. He’s had 12 whole blood transfusions as of tonight, and too many platelet and plasma to keep track of. Most baby’s that have these hemorrhages need 1 transfusion if that, that’s why the doctor is concerned about the underlying problem. He started getting fed by tube last night, he opened his eyes a little today, and he’s peeing and pooping just fine. Today was the first day a doctor has talked about us getting to bring him home someday, and for that we are so thankful. We have a long way to go and a lot of watching to do.
