Baby Adrian's Burial

October 13th, at 23 weeks and 5 days old Adrian and Amari made their grand appearance into the world. They were given a 3% survival rate. Being 23 weeks gestational the doctors were certain the tubes just werent small enough to incubate them at time of birth. But they defied all odds agasint them, the Neonatal team were able to incubate both Adrian and Amari, and shortly after the NICU journey began. Just weeks in head ultrasounds were conducted, revealing that both babies had some degrees of brain bleeds. Adrain with a grade 3 on the right and grade 4 on the left, and Amari with a grade 4 on both sides. The severity of Adrain's brain bleed rapidly progressed and his brian slowly began to deteriorate.  Aside from many complications at this early gestional age,  Adrain also developed Necrotizing Enerocolitis (NEC), a disease that invades the wall of the intestine. In hopes of progress, doctors inserted tubes in both his sides for drainage. Unfortunately, this was unable to prevent the spread of this horrible disease. On his 24th day his saturation levels suddenly began to fall below the average levels . Adrian was able to hold on for just a few more hours as family from out town gathered. Room full of family, faces full of tears, heads full of prayers, his mom, our sister cradled him close as his heart slowed and he took his final breath in this world. On November 9th at 11:12p.m. Adrian DeShawn Curry gained his angel wings.
As Niah and TreVeante deal with the loss of one of their children, we ask that everyone keep them in their prayers. As we come together to lay him to rest , any monetary contributions are greatly appericated as we make final arragnements.
