Our Son DJ's dog - Service Dog Training

  As many of you know our little boy DJ has Autism.  With that comes many challenges like communication, sensory issues, and most of all dangers like running off and climbing.  He is a curious little boy who doesn't fully understand the dangers of what he does.  We have made many efforts in our home and our life in general to keep DJ safe, but many times it doesn't seem to be enough.  A couple years ago we began to seek out programs to get our son a service dog, whom can be tethered to DJ and go with him to school, play, and really anywhere he goes.  We found many great programs, but there is never a inexpensive way to get a service dog for your child.  
  We tried adding a new family member in our Golden Retriever named Cooper, who while DJ didn't like as a puppy, became best friends over the past couple of years.  We then continued to seek out programs to get Cooper trained and we have never fully gotten to where we needed due to a lack of funding.  Training a service Dog can easily cost over $8000 to $10000 at least anywhere in the U.S. . We have continued to work with Cooper, but thought our chance to train him was not going to happen.
     Then recently we were blessed to recieve a call from the top service dog trainer in the state of Utah and they had someone who has begun the process to help us fundraise for cooper.  To get this started though we must first come up with $2000 to begin his training and they will help take care of the rest.  We have, through past efforts been able to raise $500 towards this, but with your help we may be able to reach our goal of the remaining $1500. With fees we are fully trying to raise $1700. 
  It's important to understand that we don't like to ask for donations, but I have had so many friends and family who have said they would love to help if we created a giving opportunity.  We also understand that you may not be able to contribute financially and that is ok, because we are thankful for the prayers and support of so many who love our little DJ.  If you do feel so inclined and would like to give towards this, we would be absolutely grateful.  Thank you for your continued support of our family.  God Bless!
