Fight for Cancer

Donation protected
My sister Alexandra was diagnosed this past July with an aggressive stage of Follicular Non Hodkins Lyphoma. Her symtoms started in June when she started to complain of fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, pain and constipation.  At first we thought this is just gas and constipation. So she took some over the counter medication & they didn't work. The symptoms just got worse. Bad enough one day that she went to the Emergency Room.  A Cat Scan was done and results showed scattered swollen and infected lymph nods in her neck, back, chest and a few organs. She was then admitted to the hospital. A large lymph node in her neck was biopsed & confirmed the results of the Cat Scan. She was consulted by an Oncology team & Chemo treatments was recommended.  Just like that her life was turned up side down. No warning, no notice, no hints that this is where she would be at age 35. She wasn't left with many choices. She's had to stop working and relay on close family & friends (thank God for them) to help out when they could.  I never thought Cancer would hit so close to home & touch one of my loved ones. How could this happen to her I kept thinking? She's beautiful, she's young, healthy and so vibrant. Someone who's full of life and laughter.  None the less she grabbed this illness by the reins & started Chemo. She's lost all her beautiful hair and has lost alot of weight. Chemo has made her so sick. Getting out of bed each day is so difficult for her. She's always weak and nauseous. She's has no appetite and the ability to even taste her favorite foods. She lives alone & is a single parent to my 12 yr old niece Alexia. On her sickest days she still needs to care for herself & be a mom. How is she doing it all I ask myself? What I'm realizing and admiring most about her is her strength to fight! She's not letting Cancer dedicate what her life should be or where she ends up. She's pushing through physically and emotionally. And I commend her for not giving up!  She's put her faith in God that he will see her through these trying time.
As the days go by she is faced with a financial hardship. She can't return to work, she's receiving Chemo every two weeks and her bills have not disappeared. My hopes are that the funding collected will assist her with her basic needs and also help her care for my niece.
Your time & patience in this matter is greatly appreciated. I thank you in advanced and so does she.
