Blankets for the Homeless

There are 34,701 unsheltered homeless people in Los Angeles, many of them Veterans, women, handicaps and children. 

A few years ago, Behdad Noorani started a Blanket fundaraiser to help the homeless people in Skid Row.  As part of their Community Service project at Harvard-Westlake High School, my sons Parsa and Borna decided to join Behdad.  Over the last several years, the community's loving hand along with your donations and efforts have raised over 20K.  We have been able to distribute over 2000 blankets among the homeless, various shelters, youth houses,  girls' orphenages, and even a convalescent home etc. 

Parsa Shoa is now at University of Michigan and is expanding the project on Campus along with the help of his fraternity Delta Chi.  Borna will be taking his efforts to his university upon admission, and Behdad's son will take the helm of this wonderful project.  

Once again, we raise funds.  At a time when we have been cleaved along racial, sexual and religious lines, let us UNITE during this holiday season around love, charity, giving and generosity.  Every blanket costs $10.00.
