Hello! This post is extremely important to me and I just want to start off by thanking you for taking the time to
read it. It's taken a while for me to post this as it puts me in a vulnerable place and I'm not great at asking for help, but that is exactly what I need!For those that don't know......
Hi! Im Alex, 22 years old, living in Melbourne, Aus and I’m a trans male. I've been medically transitioning for about 2.5 years now, and although (HRT) hormone replacement therapy has literally saved my life, I'm still confronted with an immense amount of dysphoria with my chest.I've worn binders for over 3 years now. Binding constricts my chest so it appears flat, but obviously this isn't permanent and over long periods of time, it causes problems with breathing, my back and rib cage. I honestly can't explain how much of a relief this will be me for me. Absolutely life changing! I've been waiting for this for so long, and I feel it’s the right time for me to organise my surgery.
For those that don’t know, Top Surgery is an operation where breast tissue is removed and the chest is contoured to reflect that of a masculine appearance. For more information here is a link:

I'm planning on having top surgery done here in Melbourne by
Dr Andrew Ives. The cost is anywhere between 10k -12k. This covers the cost of the surgeon, anaesthetist and depending on how the procedure goes, hospitals stays, medications ect. It's a lot of money and I'll be putting in my own savings for it also but definitely need help covering some of it. This will also help with post op, as I won’t be able to work for at least a few weeks. Having this surgery is not “for looks” or just a physical change, it’s a mental one also.
It means I can finally be at one with my body and mind and live my life confidently and to the fullest. I am seeking donations to help me fund my surgery. No donation is too small, all of it counts. I'd really appreciate if you could share this around even if you can't donate.
