Two of our loved ones have suffered a terrifying loss. In the wee hours of July 2, 2014, Courtney and Jason (East Stroudsburg, PA) awoke to the sound of a carbon monoxide alarm and what sounded like lots of rummaging through their kitchen. Jason went into immediate survival mode, thinking someone had broken into their house and was going through their things, and was ready to protect his house and his fiance. Courtney was prepared for the worst, thinking this intruder was not only going to steal from them, but harm them as well. Sadly, preparing for the worst was not as bad as they thought. When they opened the door, the amount of heat and smoke that came pouring into the bedroom was something they've never imagined possible. The noises they heard was not someone in their house, but instead a fire blazing through their beautiful home. The smoke was almost ceiling to floor, and Courtney and Jason were just barely able to crawl to safety.
Despite being thankful to be alive, losing everything you've ever worked for brings feelings of hurt, betrayal, and anger. Please use this site to help Courtney and Jason get back on their feet and return to normalcy as soon as possible.
Yes, inurance is an outlet to rebuild a structure, a house, and maybe even a glorious new deck. But when loved ones ban together and help in a way an insurance company or an adjuster can't, then that structure, house, and deck can become a home again.
