LOOSE ENDS: What is the truth?

Donation protected
LOOSE ENDS is that book I wish I would’ve had when my life first started falling apart. It chronicles my story through my college years when I started to notice that life had not turned out any way I thought it would, catalyzing the beginning of my quest for the meaning of life.

For the past three years, writing and refining LOOSE ENDS has been my full-time job. By extending this story to my community, my goal is to take my time, your support, and our collective belief and turn LOOSE ENDS into a tangible product together.

I am seeking $7,570. This includes the cost of establishing an LLC as the publishing company, running the LLC, the design of the book, partnering with a book distributor, ISBN’s, the literary lawyer for counseling the delicate information included in this memoir, two revisions by the editor, and printing 100 paperbacks.

There are no words that can convey my gratitude for you landing on this page and considering the book jacket description detailed below. Crafting, molding, and revising a layered story has given me more gratitude and perspective than I could have ever hoped for, and I am beyond excited to share the fruits of my labor with the rest of the world.

Thank you for being here and joining the journey to LOOSE ENDS.

Back Jacket Description:

no one ever told cee the truth.

the truth was covered up by cultural norms, acting a certain way, and doing what we were told. AKA: illusions preserved by the entitled land of orange county. but the truth always reveals itself even if everyone can’t see it.

after the 2008 economic crisis, cee’s dad was without a job. she moved home from college to enter the adult world of formal employment, but what she found wasn’t a place school had prepared her for or the adults had taught her to understand. it was a world without rules or morals, a safety net or sympathy. the great recession had erased the security of the future, the clarity of the present and the presumed truth of the past. through trial and error, depression and anxiety, she eventually realizes that we will never know who we are if we don’t accept the detours in life and we will never be whole if we don’t engage with what we don’t want to see.
