Our father, Mark Schwartzlow & family, are reaching out for help.
Mark was enjoying the first day of October at his home working on gardening and yard maintenance on Sunday, October 1st, 2017.
Mark climbed his ladder to cut back some tree branches that were posing issues when the branch fell on top on him causing him to fall face/head/shoulder first down to the ground over 10 feet below. Our mother was there to provide CPR and immediately called 911. Mark was unconscious for quite some time and was transferred via ambulance to Mercy Hosptial.
His injuries are extensive:
-Medically induced coma and breathing ventilator.
-Dialysis for kidney failure.
-Vertebres in the neck [T7 and T8] are fractured.
-Broken pelvis/hip. [Surgery preformed Oct 2nd]
-Four broken ribs
-Shattered cheek & eye sockets.
-Ocular pressure.
-Broken jaw.
-He will need reconstructive surgery on his facial bones and jaw.
He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit and is in a medically induced coma.
Mark has a long, difficult road to recovery ahead, and will need months of rehabilitation - but he has much to live for. He is a loving husband and father of six children. He is also the proud grandfather to eight, with two more on the way.
Many have reached out to us asking how you can help. At this time he needs several more surguries while staying in the ICU. He will need extensive rehabilation to aid in his recovery after discharge. This carries not only extensive medical bills but loss of income to both spouses and other financial burdens an accident of this extent will hold.
Supporting Mark with whatever you can give to help relieve the financial burden would be greatly appreciated. Even if it's only $5.00 it will help greatly as there's no donation that's to small.
All donations will help Mark with financial assistance and get him into Rehab ASAP. Also prayers are very welcomed and tremendously appreciated.
