CC Softball Family Travel Expenses to NC

The Covington County 12 and under Softball team won the Alabama State Babe Ruth 12U Tournament this weekend!
They got off to a slow start during the first game with the Sylacauga team dominating the first several innings. However, by the end of the 6th inning they had their mojo back and evened the score, 10 to 10. The CC girls battled for 4 runs in the extra inning and then held the opposing team with a final score of 14 to 10.
After that first game, there was no stopping these CC girls. They worked hard and continued to dominate the remaining 4 games by making 52 more runs and giving up NO OTHER RUNS! That's right, they scored 66 runs and gave up only 10 runs in 5 games!
We got lots of compliments from umpires, tournament host staff, and other teams about how classy our team was throughout the tournament. We cannot be more proud of these athletes for their hard work and great sportsmanship during this tournament.
They will be representing ALABAMA in the Babe Ruth Regional Tournament in North Carolina on July 16 - 20, 2014. Any donation to help the families with travel expenses will be greatly appreciated. All monies go directly to offset costs of tournament registration fees, lodging, transportation, and food for the families of the team.
