Our sweet Nikki slipped into a coma after suffering a stroke at 33 weeks pregnant and only 23 years old. Despite the complications, Nikki gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy. What should have been the most special time of her life, has been missed as we continue to wait for her to wake up after 6 months. She was placed in a nursing facility in April closer to home but it’s still a 3 hour travel from her friends and family. Nikki’s mom and dad spent weeks in Seattle focusing on her recovery and they continue to visit her every weekend which has become financially draining. The family recently applied to be in-home care providers for Nikki as doctors believe the stimulation of family is crucial to her recovery. In order to bring her home, they have to meet the building requirements needed for her care. The construction cost to remodel her room and living space are estimated around $7,000. Please help give her a better chance to awake from her coma and reunite with her family. Any amount will help her come home.
