Support for Sherri

I am trying to raise money for a dear friend of mine, Sherri, who is currently fighting stage 3 throat cancer.  This diagnosis came as a shock as she is only 37 years old.  This cancer is typically seen in 60 year old men with a long history of smoking.  She has never smoked in her life.  Sherri was just married in November and received the diagnosis in early March.  As you can imagine it has rocked her world.

She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and daily radiation treatments.  The treatment for this type of cancer is particularly brutal as it is very painful and makes it impossible to eat and even difficult to drink.  She is getting dehyrated and she may need to get a feeding tube although she is trying her best to avoid that.  She has already lost 25lbs in the last few weeks and is very weak.  Because of this, she is unable to work.  Her husband works but his job only gives him part-time hours so he doesn't make enough.  She has to pay over $400/month for her insurance coverage as well as co-pays for endless doctors visits and medications.  This is on top of the regular stuff like mortgage, electicity, etc. to maintain their household.  This has caused her unneeded stress at a time when she really needs to be focused on her recovery. 

I know there are a lot of people that love Sherri and she really needs our support right now.  I’ve started this GoFundMe account to help with the easy part, the money. Unfortunately no matter how much we love her we can’t help take this illness away but maybe we can at least help to allivate some of her stress at this difficult time in her life.  Please, please, please donate something.  No amount is too small, it all adds up.  And pass this along to as many friends as possible to help get the word out.
