Ayyoubé is a feature film that tells the story of a Palestinian woman in a Lebanese refugee camp. Despite the horrors of living in those camps; Ayyoubé is forced to live in a community of oppression and misogyny. The film is adapted from a successful play by the same writer/director Awad Awad, who wants to reach a wider audience to tell the story of Ayyoubé through the screen.

• What is the film about?
Ayyoubé is a determined Palestinian woman, who has lived all her life struggling for the freedom she deserves. She made it to a Lebanese refugee camp when she was a little girl and grew up in a community she was never able to call home.
Being a curious girl, Ayyoubé always saw more to life than the camp she lived in and always believed in a bigger future. Her parents were very traditional and wanted her to follow the steps of all the other young girls, Ayyoubé wasn’t convinced. She was forced into a loveless, abusive marriage with her husband Jaber who, with the help of his parents and siblings, turns her life into a living hell. In addition to her turbulent personal life, living in a refugee camp had its fair share of pitfalls.
From Ayyoubé's own tragedy, one gets a glimpse of the plight of Palestinian women in particular, and Arab women at large. The story of Ayyoubé is one that shows resistance and hope, despite a lifetime of darkness.
• What is the director trying to say?
As a third generation Palestinian refugee in Lebanon, the only way I was able to perceive the historic Palestinian exile journey was through the stories of my grandparents. I cemented these stories into a mosaic of characters and events that brought to life the story of Ayyoubé.
Growing up in a refugee camp in South Lebanon, most of my social interaction was with women. Whether it was women in my family, in my neighborhood, or in my community, I spent hours as a child observing their characteristics and behaviours. All of them were intelligent, brave, and resilient. But their voices were never heard. They were never given the chance to fulfil their immense potential. Their role in the community was restricted to raising children, cooking, and household work. They were all discriminated against, purely because of their gender and nothing else. All of these women are Ayyoubé.
While living in the camp, amongst different generations of women, I realised that they chose to forget, ignore, and accept their unjust and often distressing circumstances. Having only four sisters, I absolutely rejected that they live that same hopeless recycled life. I will not accept their voices to be stolen, their spirits to be
neglected, and their potential to be muted. I want them to feel proud of the independent and capable women that they truly are.
I moved to Beirut in 2010, throwing myself at the first chance of a scholarship at the Lebanese American University. I was exposed to a different type of women than the one I knew at the camp. They weren’t different in intelligence, resilience, or beauty. The difference came in the chances they were afforded, chances to make a change and give back to their communities. They had the right to live a life formed off their individual choices, not the choices of others. Most importantly, they had the right to education.
Ayyoubé, the film, is a tool to raise awareness. It is rare that we see Palestinian stories on screen and I want to start telling those stories from a woman’s perspective. It is an eye opener; not only for male and female refugees, but also for people outside my camp, outside different refugee communities, and outside of Lebanon. We want everyone to be aware of the potential these women can unlock if they are educated. Therefore, by making this film, our long-term goal is to create “The Ayyoubé Scholarship”which will be dedicated to educating Palestinian refugee girls, and giving them their right and the ability to free themselves from the constraints of their patriarchal society. The exposure this film will garner and the connections that will be made will help build a web of donations and aid that will make this scholarship come to life.
With the potential I was given, I want to show women everywhere that in order to become independent individuals like Ayyoubé, they should never give up their ambitions and lose hope.
• Who is the director and writer?
Awad Awad, is a Palestinian theatre and film director from Ein El Helweh, a refugee camp in Lebanon. He earned his BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University in 2016. He managed and directed the MISHKAL Arts Festival at Al Madina Theatre for six consecutive years. This helped him start his career as a theatre director and since then he has directed 12 theatre productions most notably; Ayyoubé (2017) and A Letter to Anne Frank (2019). Awad started his film career by directing the documentary Hope (2014). He then went on to direct two other documentaries and the short film The Silent Coo (2016).
• About Ayyoubé - The Play
The film is adapted from the critically-acclaimed play by the same writer/director Awad Awad, who now wants the story of Ayyoubé to reach a wider audience.
The writer director grew up in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon surrounded by strong, resilient women. Ayyoubé is a composite of these women, who have played a major part in shaping his personality and life.
In the play, the role of the protagonist Ayyoubé was played by three talented actresses: Aliya Khalidi, Mira Sidawi, and Tala Nachar, who will reprise their role for the film. Each actress will embody Ayyoubé at a different stage of her life, from the young Ayyoube, who has just arrived as refugee in Lebanon to an aging Ayyoubé, overlooking the memories of her life. What is constant throughout the three phases is Palestine and the yearning to return.
As a play, it was first produced in 2017 at the Lebanese American University, where Awad was a theatre major. The play was awarded the LAU Alumni Production Award.
After receiving positive reviews the play had 22 performances in different areas around Lebanon, including The Palace Theatre in Beirut (2018) where the performance was a fundraiser for Gaza, raising more than $15,000 USD. Most notably, it was part of the programming of the Horsh Beirut Festival (2018) and The Arab Women’s Institute (2019).
Also in 2018, it won a grant from the Welfare Association (Taawon) to tour Ayyoubé across Palestinian camps in Lebanon. It was staged in five Palestinian refugee camps, followed by a Q&A with the writer director, allowing furthering interacting with the audience.
• What are we doing?
Stories about the experience of growing up and living in refugee camps usually stay inside the camps; those stories seldom make it to the outside communities. Being Palestinian and supporters of the Palestinian cause, we feel responsible to convey the voice of the unheard using our filmmaking tools. Ayyoubé our protagonist represents the Palestinian refugee woman and her struggle to make it in a community that is not hers, that is not her home. After the success of the play, we decided that Ayyoubé should inspire more people around the world. We want to go into Ayyoubé’s house and hear her story, but this time with a camera. Shooting a film will allow the director to express himself in diverse ways and with more versatility than the stage. Stories that didn’t make it to performances will have a chance to be told in the film.
We also believe that this film will be of great aid to start “The Ayyoubé Scholarship” which will help secure young girls’ right to education.
This project is born from passion and the contests of real people. Ayyoubé is not only the voice of Palestinian women but women everywhere.

AYYOUBÉ
Aliya Khalidi, is a Palestinian - Lebanese director, actress, university lecturer and trainer. She holds an MA in directing and a PhD in Arabic Theatre from the UK. She has directed several plays such as: Al-Halafeet (1994) by Egyptian playwright, Mahmoud Diab; Al-Makhlouta (2010), a devised play on mental health awareness for Médecins Sans Frontieres performed at the Bourj Al-Barajneh Palestinian Refugee Camp; 80 Steps (2013) by Randa Khalidi, and was chosen to represent Lebanon in competition at the Arab Theatre Festival in Sharjah, UAE in January 2014. In 2016, she wrote and directed Anbara the story of an early Arab feminist in Lebanon. It was chosen to represent Lebanon at Les Journées de Carthage in Tunis in November 2016. Anbara was also translated into German and presented as a staged reading at the Residenz Theater in Munich at the World Theatre Platform in April 2017. Aliya has also acted in many plays most recently, Ayyoubé (2016) directed by Awad Awad based on the lives of Palestinian women in Lebanese refugee camps. She has one feature film to her credit, 1982 (2019) directed by Oualid Mouaness that received awards at TIFF (2019) and El-Gouna Film Festival (2019). Her research interests lie mainly in indigenous forms of Arabic theatre such as storytelling and shadow puppetry, women’s emancipation and contemporary Arab immersive and site-specific theatre. Aliya has been mentoring and training public speakers from artists to businessmen as well as training television presenters, for more than 15 years.
AYYOUBÉ
Sophia is a Lebanese actress and rapper. A graduate with last batch that graduated from the Arab African Center for Theatrical Training and Research at the "Hamra Theater" in Tunis, under the direction of the late Tunisian theater, “Ezzedine Kanoun". She toured, from between the year 2016 until the Corona pandemic, in international festivals within the Arab world, Europe and Canada, winning three Best Actress Awards. She has also participated in several short films, contemporary dance festivals, composition workshops and organic theater between Beirut, Barcelona and Brussels. In addition to her recent participation in Paris, along with the French author and singer "Cyril Mokaiesh", for the release of the album (Paris - Beirut), also with the participation of Lebanese musicians Bashar Mar Khalifa and Ziad Sahab.
AYYOUBÉ
Tala Nachar, is an aspiring Syrian actress and theatre director who graduated from the Lebanese American University with a B.A in Performing Arts and was enrolled in various philosophy courses. She has worked on various theatrical plays which were renowned locally such as, I Am Not a Vase of Flowers directed by Lina Abyad and Ayyoubé directed by Awad Awad. Both original works embodied the stories of resilient refugee women, residents of the local camps of Lebanon, with whom Tala has worked closely. She has adapted two classical philosophical texts Huis Clos by Jean Paul Sartre, and Waiting for Godot by Samuel Becket, and directed them as theatrical plays in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Tala collaborated with acclaimed professionals in Lebanese cinema, theatre and TV programs as assistant director, producer, stage manager, and as a casting researcher.

PRODUCER
Having worked in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Lebanon with international crew members, Leil Fouladkar has worked in the TV and Film field for 3 years now, on back to back projects. She graduated from the Lebanese American University in 2018 and has worked on music videos, TV shows, seasonal and Ramadan series, in addition to the award-winning German production feature film “Halal Love”, mainly as assistant director and post-production producer. Leil is currently producing the independent feature film “Ayyoube”.
LINE PRODUCER
Hassan Zein is a TV and Film line producer with nine years of experience working alongside the executive team. He received his education at the Lebanese American University (LAU) with a BA in communication arts. Hassan previously lived and worked in UAE which lead him to have an extensive background in media and film production for UAE and most Arab clients. Hassan is currently producing TV programs and films between Lebanon and Dubai.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Sarah Mashmoushy (1994, Beirut) is a writer, Theater Performer, and Assistant director working actively in the media, Theater, & film industry in Lebanon. She has attained her English Literature BA in Haigazian University & since the brink of her university years she has since been a collaborating artist working on Film Productions as an Assistant Director & writer’s assistant along with being a member of Koon Theater Group & performing in festivals and artistic residencies in countries such as Tunisia, Belgium, Holland. Sarah is currently working on Independent Film Productions & conducting research to the creation of her own series of performances and video diaries.
MUSIC COMPOSER
Dr. Amr Selim is an Egyptian musician, educator and entrepreneur. He started playing the French horn at the age of 10 and won his first full-time job with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. His music has taken him all over the US, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East and South Korea; where he performed as an orchestra musician, composed music for shows and films, as a soloist, chamber musician and performed various teaching activities. His research focuses on the Music of the Arab Region and Music in Islam; and he has presented lectures and workshops on these topics at NYU, MSM, Queens College, Santa Clara University, Mission College and Stony Brook University where he earned his Doctorate in Music. Dr. Selim is a professor of Music at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon where he has started the Imagine Initiative with his wife, pianist Dr. Seba Ali. Imagine includes a residency program, the very first summer arts camp in the region, a children’s film festival and soon a podcast. As a performer, Amr has collaborated with many renowned artists and groups such as Yo-Yo Ma, the Silkroad Ensemble, members of the Emerson Quartet, Apple Hill Quartet, San Francisco Symphony and the Metropolitan Opera, among others. Such collaborations ranged in repertoire from classical traditional to folk music and world premieres based on non-western music. He is the co-founder of Gadayel Duo which has premiered over a dozen works written for horn and piano, Eldad Tarmu Wind Sextet with their recent CD “Stained Glass Stories” and Common Sounds, a collective of world musicians based in San Jose, California.
• How can you help?
With all the tribulations that Lebanon is currently going through, we believe Ayyoubé could make a difference. Making a film in such times would raise the morale of the cast, crew, and audiences who are undergoing the worst financial crisis and the most traumatic experience after the catastrophic explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4th, 2020.
We are kindly asking for the support of interested philanthropists to help our project come to life. We have our story, our actresses, and our passion, we just need to execute!
The budget will be distributed across the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of the film, this will cover salaries, equipment, props, wardrobe, and locations. Also, we would like to reserve a small amount from our budget as a startup fund for “The Ayyoubé Scholarship” to kick it off.
We believe if Ayyoubé is executed, it can reach a wide range and a large number of audiences across the world and maintain a solid festival life.

• ما هي قصة الفيلم ؟
أيّوبة هي إمرأة فلسطينية عازمة، عاشت حياتها تكافح من أجل حريتها بعد أن لجأت إلى مخيم للاجئين الفلسطينيين في لبنان عندما كانت طفلة ونشأت في مجتمع لم يحتضنها.
لم تكتفِ أيّوبة يومًا بحياتها في المخيم الذي تعيش فيه، وكانت دائماً تؤمن بمستقبل أفضل. كان والداها تقليديين للغاية فأرداها أن تخطو خطى جميعالفتيات الصغيرات الأخريات، لكنها لم ترضَ بهذه الحياة المفبركة لها. لم تقتصر مآسي أيوبة على مآسي الشتات في المخيم فقط، فقد أُجبرت باكرًاعلى الزواج من رجلٍ كان يسيء معاملتها ويعنفها، و حوّل حياتها إلى جحيم بمساعدة من والديه وعائلته.
تختصر قصة أيّوبة محنة النساء الفلسطينيات بشكل خاص، والنساء العربيات بشكل عام فهي قصة المقاومة والأمل، على الرغم من الحياة الظالمة.
• ماذا يقول المخرج ؟
كفلسطيني من الجيل الثالث للجوء في لبنان، كانت قصص جدّي و جدتي، الوسيلة الوحيدة لي للإطلاع على رحلة اللجوء الفلسطيني التاريخية. لقدنسجت كل هذه القصص والشخصيات والأحداث في قصة واحدة هي أيّوبة.
نشأت في مخيم للاجئين في جنوب لبنان، وكنت دومًا أراقب النساء من حولي، في عائلتي ومحيطي ومجتمعي. أمضيت ساعات طويلة أدقق فيخصائصهن وسلوكياتهن. جميعهن كنّ ذكيّات وشجاعات ولكن أصواتهن قُمعت ولم تسمع، فلم يتم منحهن الفرصة لتحقيق ذاتهن أبدً، واقتصردورهن في المجتمع على تربية الأطفال والأعمال المنزلية. لقد تعرضن جميعاً للقمع والتمييز لمجرّد أنهن نساء. كل تلك النساء أيوبة. إن الإقامة فيالمخيم و ما يرافقها من مشاكل ومآسي تدفع النساء إلى تجاهل هذة المشاكل والتأقلم مع المآسي وقبول الظروف الظالمة في الكثير من الأحيان. ليأربع أخواتٍ أصغر منّي سنًّا، وأرفض رفضًا تامًا أن يعيشن الحياة اليائسة ذاتها. أرفض أن تُسرق أصواتهن و تُهمل أرواحهن، و تُهدر إمكانياتهن، أريدهن أن يشعرن بالفخر لكونهن نساءٍ مستقلاتٍ قويّات.
انتقلت إلى بيروت في عام 2011، للدراسة في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية, وتعرفت لنوع آخر من النساء لم أرى مثلهّن في المخيم، لا يختلفن فيالذكاء أو الصمود أو القدرة، بل جاء الاختلاف في الفرص التي أتيحت لهن، فرص إحداث التغيير والنهضة بمجتمعاتهن. لقد حصلن على الحق بأنيقررن كيف تكون الحياة التي يردن عيشها ورفض الرضوخ لحياة يختارها لهن الآخرين. والأهم من ذلك كلّه أنهن حصلن على الحق في التعليم.
فيلم "أيّوبة" أداة لنشر الوعي، قلّما نرى قصص اللجوء الفلسطيني على الشاشة، وأريد أن أشارك تلك القصص لا مع اللاجئات واللاجئين فقط، ولكن مع من هم خارج المخيم، وخارج مجتمعات اللاجئين، وخارج لبنان أيضًا. أريد أن يدرك الجميع إمكانيات النساء إذا أعطيت لهن فرصالتعليم. لذلك فإننا نهدف من خلال إنتاج هذا الفيلم، لإنشاء "منحة أيّوبة" التي ستخصص لتعليم اللاجئات الفلسطينيات، ومنحهن حق تحرير أنفسهنمن قيود المجتمع الأبوي. سيساعد عرض هذا الفيلم، وشبكة العلاقات التي سيساهم ببنائها، في تحقيق هذه المنحة.
أؤمن أن وصول النساء لإستقلالهن يعني التمسّك بطموحاتهن والمثابرة لتحقيقها، وهذا الفيلم وسيلة لحثّ النساء في كل مكان على ذلك.
• من هو المخرج و الكاتب ؟
عوض عوض، مخرج مسرحي وسينمائي فلسطيني من مخيم عين الحلوة للاجئين في لبنان، حاصل على البكالوريوس في فنون الإعلام من الجامعة اللبنانية الأميركية في عام 2016. يدير عوض مهرجان "مشكال: ملتقى الشباب في مسرح المدينة" منذ ست سنوات، وقد ساعده ذلك على شق طريقه كمخرج مسرحي. له في المسرح ١٢ مسرحية أبرزها أيوبة (2017)، و رسالة إلى آن فرانك (2019). بدأ عوض مسيرته السينمائية بإخراج الفيلم الوثائقي أمل (2014)، ثمّ أخرج فيلمين وثائقيين آخرين والفيلم القصير هديل (2016).
• حول مسرحية أيّوبة
تم إنتاج “أيّوبة” كمسرحية للمرة الأولى في عام 2017 في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية بعدما حصلت المسرحية على منحة إنتاج الجامعة لأفضل عمل مسرحي بين الخريجين.
في المسرحية ، تلعب دور بطلت الرواية يّوبة ثلاث ممثلات موهوبات: عليّة الخالدي ، ميرا صيداوي ، وتالا نشار، اللواتي ستقمن بإعادة تمثيل أدوارهن في الفيلم. ستجسد كل ممثلة أيوبي في مرحلة مختلفة من حياتها ، من أيوبي الفتاة، التي وصلت للتو كلاجئة في لبنان إلى أيوبي المشيخة، التي تطل على ذكريات حياتها. الدائم في المراحل الثلاث هو فلسطين والتوق إلى العودة.
حصدت مسرحية أيّوبة إستحسانًا كبيرًا فقدمت 22 عرضا في مختلف مناطق لبنان، بما في ذلك مسرح (The Palace (2018 في بيروت حيث عُرضت لجمع التبرعات لغزة، و جمعت أكثر من 15,000 دولار أمريكي.
شاركت أيضًا في مهرجان حرش بيروت (2018) ومعهد المرأة العربية (2019). وفي عام 2018 ، حصلت على منحة من جمعية "التعاون" للقيام بجولة على خمس مخيمات فلسطينية في لبنان تبعها جلسات حوار عززت التواصل بين الجمهور وفريق العمل.
• ماذا نفعل ؟
نادرًا ما تخرج قصص اللاجئين إلى خارج المخيّم. لذلك، كصانعي أفلام مؤمنين بالقضية الفلسطينية، تقع علينا مسؤولية نقل صوت من لا صوت لهم باستخدام أدواتنا. تمثّل أيّوبة نضال اللاجئة الفلسطينية وصراعها لتحقيق أهدافها في ظل اللجوء، لذلك نريد إيصال صوتها للعالم بأسره. نريد زيارة منزل أيوبة لسماع قصتها، ولكن هذه المرة مع الكاميرا. سيسمح تصوير الفيلم بإيصال القصة بأسلوبٍ مختلف وسيساعد على إغناء أيّوبة ببعض القصص التي لم نتمكن من رؤيتها على المسرح.
نأمل أن يكون هذا الفيلم الخطوة الأولى لبدء "منحة أيّوبة" التي ستعطي اللاجئات المتفوقات الحق في التعليم.
ولد هذا المشروع من شغف ومصاعب أناس حقيقيين، ف"أيّوبة" ليست صوت المرأة الفلسطينية فقط بل صوت النساء في كل مكان.
• من هن الممثلات؟
- أيّوبة
عليّة الخالدي، مخرجة وممثلة ومحاضرة جامعية ومدربة من الجنسية الفلسطينية اللبنانية. حصلت على درجة الماجستير في الإخراج والدكتوراه في المسرح العربي من المملكة المتحدة. قامت بإخراج العديد من المسرحيات مثل: مسرحية الهلافيت (1994) للكاتب المسرحي المصري محمود دياب، ومسرحية المخلوطة (2010)، وهي مسرحية للتوعية حول الصحة النفسية لأطباء بلا حدود قدمت في مخيم برج البراجنة للاجئين الفلسطينيين، ومسرحية ٨٠ درجة (2013) للكاتبة رندة خالدي، وتم اختيارها لتمثيل لبنان في مسابقة مهرجان المسرح العربي في الشارقة، في يناير 2014. في عام 2016، كتبت وأخرجت "عنبرة" و هي قصة رائدة نسوية عربية في لبنان. تم اختيارها لتمثيل لبنان في أيام قرطاج المسرحية، في تونس في نوفمبر 2016. كما ترجمت عنبرة إلى اللغة الألمانية وقدمت كقراءة مسرحية في مسرح ريزيدنس في ميونيخ في منصة المسرح العالمي في أبريل 2017. مثلت عليّة أيضا في العديد من المسرحيات آخرها مسرحية "أيّوبة" (2016) للمخرج عوض عوض. شاركت في فيلم روائي طويل واحد، 1982 (2019) من إخراج وليد مونس الذي حصل على جوائز في (TIFF 2019) ومهرجان الجونة السينمائي (2019). تكمن اهتماماتها البحثية بشكل رئيسي في أولى أشكال المسرح العربي كالحكواتي، وخيال الظل، وتحرير المرأة، والمسرح العربي المعاصر. تقوم عليّة بالتدريب على فنون الخطابة بالإضافة إلى تدريب مقدمي البرامج التلفزيونية ، لأكثر من 15 عاما.
- أيّوبة
تالا نشار، ممثلة ومخرجة مسرحية سورية. تخرجت من الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية بدرجة البكالوريوس في الفنون المسرحية والتحقت في العديد من صفوف الفلسفة. عملت في العديد من المسرحيات التي اشتهرت محليًا مثل "أنا لست مزهرية" من إخراج لينا أبيض و"أيّوبة" لعوض عوض. وقد تجسد العملان في قصص صمود اللاجئات اللواتي عملت تالا معهن عن كثب. قامت بإقتباس و إخراج نصين فلسفيين كلاسيكيين “هوي كلوس”لجان بول سارتر (٢٠١٧) ، و” بإنتظار غودو” لصموئيل بيكيت (٢٠١٩). تعاونت تالا مع محترفين في السينما والمسرح والبرامج التلفزيونيةاللبنانية كمساعدة مخرج ومنتج ومديرة مسرح وباحثة مواهب.

الدكتور عمرو سليم، موسيقي ومعلم مصري. بدأ العزف على البوق الفرنسي في العاشرة من عمره و إلتحق بدوام كامل مع أوركسترا القاهرة السيمفونية في سن 16. أوصلته موسيقاه على جميع أنحاء الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وأوروبا والشرق الأوسط وكوريا الجنوبية؛ حيث كان يؤدي كموسيقي أوركسترا، وألف الموسيقى للعروض والأفلام، وعازف منفرد، و موسيقى الحُجرة وأداء أنشطة تعليمية مختلفة. يركز بحثه على موسيقى المنطقة العربية والموسيقى في الإسلام; وقد قدم محاضرات وورش عمل حول هذه المواضيع في جامعة نيويورك،MSM ،كلية كوينز، جامعة سانتا كلارا، كلية ميشن وجامعة ستوني بروك حيث حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الموسيقى. يعمل الدكتور سليم كأستاذ الموسيقى في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية في بيروت، لبنان حيث بدأ مبادرة Imagine مع زوجته، عازفة البيانو الدكتورة صبا علي. تتضمن Imagine برنامج إقامة، أول معسكر للفنون الصيفية في المنطقة، ومهرجان أفلام للأطفال وقريبا بودكاست. تعاون عمرو مع العديد من الفنانين والمجموعات الشهيرة مثل Yo-Yo Ma و The Silkroad Ensemble وأعضاء Emerson Quartet وApple Hill Quartet و San Francisco Symphony و Metropolitan Opera، من بين آخرين. تراوحت هذه التعاونات من الموسيقى التقليدية الكلاسيكية إلى الموسيقى الشعبية والعروض العالمية الأولى على أساس الموسيقى غير الغربية. هو المؤسس المشاركلـ Gadayel Duo الذي عرض لأول مرة أكثر من اثني عشر عملا مكتوبا لـالبوق و البيانو, Eldad Tarmu Wind Sextet مع أخر أعمالهم "قصص الزجاج الملون" و Common Sounds, مجموعة من الموسيقيين العالميين المقيمين في سان خوسيه, كاليفورنيا.

Ayyoubé is a feature film that tells the story of a Palestinian woman in a Lebanese refugee camp. Despite the horrors of living in those camps; Ayyoubé is forced to live in a community of oppression and misogyny. The film is adapted from a successful play by the same writer/director Awad Awad, who wants to reach a wider audience to tell the story of Ayyoubé through the screen.

• What is the film about?
Ayyoubé is a determined Palestinian woman, who has lived all her life struggling for the freedom she deserves. She made it to a Lebanese refugee camp when she was a little girl and grew up in a community she was never able to call home.
Being a curious girl, Ayyoubé always saw more to life than the camp she lived in and always believed in a bigger future. Her parents were very traditional and wanted her to follow the steps of all the other young girls, Ayyoubé wasn’t convinced. She was forced into a loveless, abusive marriage with her husband Jaber who, with the help of his parents and siblings, turns her life into a living hell. In addition to her turbulent personal life, living in a refugee camp had its fair share of pitfalls.
From Ayyoubé's own tragedy, one gets a glimpse of the plight of Palestinian women in particular, and Arab women at large. The story of Ayyoubé is one that shows resistance and hope, despite a lifetime of darkness.
As a third generation Palestinian refugee in Lebanon, the only way I was able to perceive the historic Palestinian exile journey was through the stories of my grandparents. I cemented these stories into a mosaic of characters and events that brought to life the story of Ayyoubé.
Growing up in a refugee camp in South Lebanon, most of my social interaction was with women. Whether it was women in my family, in my neighborhood, or in my community, I spent hours as a child observing their characteristics and behaviours. All of them were intelligent, brave, and resilient. But their voices were never heard. They were never given the chance to fulfil their immense potential. Their role in the community was restricted to raising children, cooking, and household work. They were all discriminated against, purely because of their gender and nothing else. All of these women are Ayyoubé.
While living in the camp, amongst different generations of women, I realised that they chose to forget, ignore, and accept their unjust and often distressing circumstances. Having only four sisters, I absolutely rejected that they live that same hopeless recycled life. I will not accept their voices to be stolen, their spirits to be
neglected, and their potential to be muted. I want them to feel proud of the independent and capable women that they truly are.
I moved to Beirut in 2010, throwing myself at the first chance of a scholarship at the Lebanese American University. I was exposed to a different type of women than the one I knew at the camp. They weren’t different in intelligence, resilience, or beauty. The difference came in the chances they were afforded, chances to make a change and give back to their communities. They had the right to live a life formed off their individual choices, not the choices of others. Most importantly, they had the right to education.
Ayyoubé, the film, is a tool to raise awareness. It is rare that we see Palestinian stories on screen and I want to start telling those stories from a woman’s perspective. It is an eye opener; not only for male and female refugees, but also for people outside my camp, outside different refugee communities, and outside of Lebanon. We want everyone to be aware of the potential these women can unlock if they are educated. Therefore, by making this film, our long-term goal is to create “The Ayyoubé Scholarship”which will be dedicated to educating Palestinian refugee girls, and giving them their right and the ability to free themselves from the constraints of their patriarchal society. The exposure this film will garner and the connections that will be made will help build a web of donations and aid that will make this scholarship come to life.
With the potential I was given, I want to show women everywhere that in order to become independent individuals like Ayyoubé, they should never give up their ambitions and lose hope.
• Who is the director and writer?
Awad Awad, is a Palestinian theatre and film director from Ein El Helweh, a refugee camp in Lebanon. He earned his BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University in 2016. He managed and directed the MISHKAL Arts Festival at Al Madina Theatre for six consecutive years. This helped him start his career as a theatre director and since then he has directed 12 theatre productions most notably; Ayyoubé (2017) and A Letter to Anne Frank (2019). Awad started his film career by directing the documentary Hope (2014). He then went on to direct two other documentaries and the short film The Silent Coo (2016).
• About Ayyoubé - The Play
The film is adapted from the critically-acclaimed play by the same writer/director Awad Awad, who now wants the story of Ayyoubé to reach a wider audience.
The writer director grew up in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon surrounded by strong, resilient women. Ayyoubé is a composite of these women, who have played a major part in shaping his personality and life.
In the play, the role of the protagonist Ayyoubé was played by three talented actresses: Aliya Khalidi, Mira Sidawi, and Tala Nachar, who will reprise their role for the film. Each actress will embody Ayyoubé at a different stage of her life, from the young Ayyoube, who has just arrived as refugee in Lebanon to an aging Ayyoubé, overlooking the memories of her life. What is constant throughout the three phases is Palestine and the yearning to return.
As a play, it was first produced in 2017 at the Lebanese American University, where Awad was a theatre major. The play was awarded the LAU Alumni Production Award.
After receiving positive reviews the play had 22 performances in different areas around Lebanon, including The Palace Theatre in Beirut (2018) where the performance was a fundraiser for Gaza, raising more than $15,000 USD. Most notably, it was part of the programming of the Horsh Beirut Festival (2018) and The Arab Women’s Institute (2019).
Also in 2018, it won a grant from the Welfare Association (Taawon) to tour Ayyoubé across Palestinian camps in Lebanon. It was staged in five Palestinian refugee camps, followed by a Q&A with the writer director, allowing furthering interacting with the audience.
Stories about the experience of growing up and living in refugee camps usually stay inside the camps; those stories seldom make it to the outside communities. Being Palestinian and supporters of the Palestinian cause, we feel responsible to convey the voice of the unheard using our filmmaking tools. Ayyoubé our protagonist represents the Palestinian refugee woman and her struggle to make it in a community that is not hers, that is not her home. After the success of the play, we decided that Ayyoubé should inspire more people around the world. We want to go into Ayyoubé’s house and hear her story, but this time with a camera. Shooting a film will allow the director to express himself in diverse ways and with more versatility than the stage. Stories that didn’t make it to performances will have a chance to be told in the film.
We also believe that this film will be of great aid to start “The Ayyoubé Scholarship” which will help secure young girls’ right to education.
This project is born from passion and the contests of real people. Ayyoubé is not only the voice of Palestinian women but women everywhere.

AYYOUBÉ
Aliya Khalidi, is a Palestinian - Lebanese director, actress, university lecturer and trainer. She holds an MA in directing and a PhD in Arabic Theatre from the UK. She has directed several plays such as: Al-Halafeet (1994) by Egyptian playwright, Mahmoud Diab; Al-Makhlouta (2010), a devised play on mental health awareness for Médecins Sans Frontieres performed at the Bourj Al-Barajneh Palestinian Refugee Camp; 80 Steps (2013) by Randa Khalidi, and was chosen to represent Lebanon in competition at the Arab Theatre Festival in Sharjah, UAE in January 2014. In 2016, she wrote and directed Anbara the story of an early Arab feminist in Lebanon. It was chosen to represent Lebanon at Les Journées de Carthage in Tunis in November 2016. Anbara was also translated into German and presented as a staged reading at the Residenz Theater in Munich at the World Theatre Platform in April 2017. Aliya has also acted in many plays most recently, Ayyoubé (2016) directed by Awad Awad based on the lives of Palestinian women in Lebanese refugee camps. She has one feature film to her credit, 1982 (2019) directed by Oualid Mouaness that received awards at TIFF (2019) and El-Gouna Film Festival (2019). Her research interests lie mainly in indigenous forms of Arabic theatre such as storytelling and shadow puppetry, women’s emancipation and contemporary Arab immersive and site-specific theatre. Aliya has been mentoring and training public speakers from artists to businessmen as well as training television presenters, for more than 15 years.
AYYOUBÉ
Sophia is a Lebanese actress and rapper. A graduate with last batch that graduated from the Arab African Center for Theatrical Training and Research at the "Hamra Theater" in Tunis, under the direction of the late Tunisian theater, “Ezzedine Kanoun". She toured, from between the year 2016 until the Corona pandemic, in international festivals within the Arab world, Europe and Canada, winning three Best Actress Awards. She has also participated in several short films, contemporary dance festivals, composition workshops and organic theater between Beirut, Barcelona and Brussels. In addition to her recent participation in Paris, along with the French author and singer "Cyril Mokaiesh", for the release of the album (Paris - Beirut), also with the participation of Lebanese musicians Bashar Mar Khalifa and Ziad Sahab.
Tala Nachar, is an aspiring Syrian actress and theatre director who graduated from the Lebanese American University with a B.A in Performing Arts and was enrolled in various philosophy courses. She has worked on various theatrical plays which were renowned locally such as, I Am Not a Vase of Flowers directed by Lina Abyad and Ayyoubé directed by Awad Awad. Both original works embodied the stories of resilient refugee women, residents of the local camps of Lebanon, with whom Tala has worked closely. She has adapted two classical philosophical texts Huis Clos by Jean Paul Sartre, and Waiting for Godot by Samuel Becket, and directed them as theatrical plays in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Tala collaborated with acclaimed professionals in Lebanese cinema, theatre and TV programs as assistant director, producer, stage manager, and as a casting researcher.

Having worked in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Lebanon with international crew members, Leil Fouladkar has worked in the TV and Film field for 3 years now, on back to back projects. She graduated from the Lebanese American University in 2018 and has worked on music videos, TV shows, seasonal and Ramadan series, in addition to the award-winning German production feature film “Halal Love”, mainly as assistant director and post-production producer. Leil is currently producing the independent feature film “Ayyoube”.
LINE PRODUCER
Hassan Zein is a TV and Film line producer with nine years of experience working alongside the executive team. He received his education at the Lebanese American University (LAU) with a BA in communication arts. Hassan previously lived and worked in UAE which lead him to have an extensive background in media and film production for UAE and most Arab clients. Hassan is currently producing TV programs and films between Lebanon and Dubai.

Sarah Mashmoushy (1994, Beirut) is a writer, Theater Performer, and Assistant director working actively in the media, Theater, & film industry in Lebanon. She has attained her English Literature BA in Haigazian University & since the brink of her university years she has since been a collaborating artist working on Film Productions as an Assistant Director & writer’s assistant along with being a member of Koon Theater Group & performing in festivals and artistic residencies in countries such as Tunisia, Belgium, Holland. Sarah is currently working on Independent Film Productions & conducting research to the creation of her own series of performances and video diaries.
MUSIC COMPOSER
Dr. Amr Selim is an Egyptian musician, educator and entrepreneur. He started playing the French horn at the age of 10 and won his first full-time job with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. His music has taken him all over the US, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East and South Korea; where he performed as an orchestra musician, composed music for shows and films, as a soloist, chamber musician and performed various teaching activities. His research focuses on the Music of the Arab Region and Music in Islam; and he has presented lectures and workshops on these topics at NYU, MSM, Queens College, Santa Clara University, Mission College and Stony Brook University where he earned his Doctorate in Music. Dr. Selim is a professor of Music at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon where he has started the Imagine Initiative with his wife, pianist Dr. Seba Ali. Imagine includes a residency program, the very first summer arts camp in the region, a children’s film festival and soon a podcast. As a performer, Amr has collaborated with many renowned artists and groups such as Yo-Yo Ma, the Silkroad Ensemble, members of the Emerson Quartet, Apple Hill Quartet, San Francisco Symphony and the Metropolitan Opera, among others. Such collaborations ranged in repertoire from classical traditional to folk music and world premieres based on non-western music. He is the co-founder of Gadayel Duo which has premiered over a dozen works written for horn and piano, Eldad Tarmu Wind Sextet with their recent CD “Stained Glass Stories” and Common Sounds, a collective of world musicians based in San Jose, California.
• How can you help?
With all the tribulations that Lebanon is currently going through, we believe Ayyoubé could make a difference. Making a film in such times would raise the morale of the cast, crew, and audiences who are undergoing the worst financial crisis and the most traumatic experience after the catastrophic explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4th, 2020.

The budget will be distributed across the pre-production, production, and post-production stages of the film, this will cover salaries, equipment, props, wardrobe, and locations. • ما هي قصة الفيلم ؟
أيّوبة هي إمرأة فلسطينية عازمة، عاشت حياتها تكافح من أجل حريتها بعد أن لجأت إلى مخيم للاجئين الفلسطينيين في لبنان عندما كانت طفلة ونشأت في مجتمع لم يحتضنها.
لم تكتفِ أيّوبة يومًا بحياتها في المخيم الذي تعيش فيه، وكانت دائماً تؤمن بمستقبل أفضل. كان والداها تقليديين للغاية فأرداها أن تخطو خطى جميعالفتيات الصغيرات الأخريات، لكنها لم ترضَ بهذه الحياة المفبركة لها. لم تقتصر مآسي أيوبة على مآسي الشتات في المخيم فقط، فقد أُجبرت باكرًاعلى الزواج من رجلٍ كان يسيء معاملتها ويعنفها، و حوّل حياتها إلى جحيم بمساعدة من والديه وعائلته.
تختصر قصة أيّوبة محنة النساء الفلسطينيات بشكل خاص، والنساء العربيات بشكل عام فهي قصة المقاومة والأمل، على الرغم من الحياة الظالمة.
• ماذا يقول المخرج ؟
كفلسطيني من الجيل الثالث للجوء في لبنان، كانت قصص جدّي و جدتي، الوسيلة الوحيدة لي للإطلاع على رحلة اللجوء الفلسطيني التاريخية. لقدنسجت كل هذه القصص والشخصيات والأحداث في قصة واحدة هي أيّوبة.
نشأت في مخيم للاجئين في جنوب لبنان، وكنت دومًا أراقب النساء من حولي، في عائلتي ومحيطي ومجتمعي. أمضيت ساعات طويلة أدقق فيخصائصهن وسلوكياتهن. جميعهن كنّ ذكيّات وشجاعات ولكن أصواتهن قُمعت ولم تسمع، فلم يتم منحهن الفرصة لتحقيق ذاتهن أبدً، واقتصردورهن في المجتمع على تربية الأطفال والأعمال المنزلية. لقد تعرضن جميعاً للقمع والتمييز لمجرّد أنهن نساء. كل تلك النساء أيوبة. إن الإقامة فيالمخيم و ما يرافقها من مشاكل ومآسي تدفع النساء إلى تجاهل هذة المشاكل والتأقلم مع المآسي وقبول الظروف الظالمة في الكثير من الأحيان. ليأربع أخواتٍ أصغر منّي سنًّا، وأرفض رفضًا تامًا أن يعيشن الحياة اليائسة ذاتها. أرفض أن تُسرق أصواتهن و تُهمل أرواحهن، و تُهدر إمكانياتهن، أريدهن أن يشعرن بالفخر لكونهن نساءٍ مستقلاتٍ قويّات.
انتقلت إلى بيروت في عام 2011، للدراسة في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية, وتعرفت لنوع آخر من النساء لم أرى مثلهّن في المخيم، لا يختلفن فيالذكاء أو الصمود أو القدرة، بل جاء الاختلاف في الفرص التي أتيحت لهن، فرص إحداث التغيير والنهضة بمجتمعاتهن. لقد حصلن على الحق بأنيقررن كيف تكون الحياة التي يردن عيشها ورفض الرضوخ لحياة يختارها لهن الآخرين. والأهم من ذلك كلّه أنهن حصلن على الحق في التعليم.
فيلم "أيّوبة" أداة لنشر الوعي، قلّما نرى قصص اللجوء الفلسطيني على الشاشة، وأريد أن أشارك تلك القصص لا مع اللاجئات واللاجئين فقط، ولكن مع من هم خارج المخيم، وخارج مجتمعات اللاجئين، وخارج لبنان أيضًا. أريد أن يدرك الجميع إمكانيات النساء إذا أعطيت لهن فرصالتعليم. لذلك فإننا نهدف من خلال إنتاج هذا الفيلم، لإنشاء "منحة أيّوبة" التي ستخصص لتعليم اللاجئات الفلسطينيات، ومنحهن حق تحرير أنفسهنمن قيود المجتمع الأبوي. سيساعد عرض هذا الفيلم، وشبكة العلاقات التي سيساهم ببنائها، في تحقيق هذه المنحة.
أؤمن أن وصول النساء لإستقلالهن يعني التمسّك بطموحاتهن والمثابرة لتحقيقها، وهذا الفيلم وسيلة لحثّ النساء في كل مكان على ذلك.
• من هو المخرج و الكاتب ؟
عوض عوض، مخرج مسرحي وسينمائي فلسطيني من مخيم عين الحلوة للاجئين في لبنان، حاصل على البكالوريوس في فنون الإعلام من الجامعة اللبنانية الأميركية في عام 2016. يدير عوض مهرجان "مشكال: ملتقى الشباب في مسرح المدينة" منذ ست سنوات، وقد ساعده ذلك على شق طريقه كمخرج مسرحي. له في المسرح ١٢ مسرحية أبرزها أيوبة (2017)، و رسالة إلى آن فرانك (2019). بدأ عوض مسيرته السينمائية بإخراج الفيلم الوثائقي أمل (2014)، ثمّ أخرج فيلمين وثائقيين آخرين والفيلم القصير هديل (2016).
• حول مسرحية أيّوبة
تم إنتاج “أيّوبة” كمسرحية للمرة الأولى في عام 2017 في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية بعدما حصلت المسرحية على منحة إنتاج الجامعة لأفضل عمل مسرحي بين الخريجين.
في المسرحية ، تلعب دور بطلت الرواية يّوبة ثلاث ممثلات موهوبات: عليّة الخالدي ، ميرا صيداوي ، وتالا نشار، اللواتي ستقمن بإعادة تمثيل أدوارهن في الفيلم. ستجسد كل ممثلة أيوبي في مرحلة مختلفة من حياتها ، من أيوبي الفتاة، التي وصلت للتو كلاجئة في لبنان إلى أيوبي المشيخة، التي تطل على ذكريات حياتها. الدائم في المراحل الثلاث هو فلسطين والتوق إلى العودة.
حصدت مسرحية أيّوبة إستحسانًا كبيرًا فقدمت 22 عرضا في مختلف مناطق لبنان، بما في ذلك مسرح (The Palace (2018 في بيروت حيث عُرضت لجمع التبرعات لغزة، و جمعت أكثر من 15,000 دولار أمريكي.
شاركت أيضًا في مهرجان حرش بيروت (2018) ومعهد المرأة العربية (2019). وفي عام 2018 ، حصلت على منحة من جمعية "التعاون" للقيام بجولة على خمس مخيمات فلسطينية في لبنان تبعها جلسات حوار عززت التواصل بين الجمهور وفريق العمل.
• ماذا نفعل ؟
نادرًا ما تخرج قصص اللاجئين إلى خارج المخيّم. لذلك، كصانعي أفلام مؤمنين بالقضية الفلسطينية، تقع علينا مسؤولية نقل صوت من لا صوت لهم باستخدام أدواتنا. تمثّل أيّوبة نضال اللاجئة الفلسطينية وصراعها لتحقيق أهدافها في ظل اللجوء، لذلك نريد إيصال صوتها للعالم بأسره. نريد زيارة منزل أيوبة لسماع قصتها، ولكن هذه المرة مع الكاميرا. سيسمح تصوير الفيلم بإيصال القصة بأسلوبٍ مختلف وسيساعد على إغناء أيّوبة ببعض القصص التي لم نتمكن من رؤيتها على المسرح.
نأمل أن يكون هذا الفيلم الخطوة الأولى لبدء "منحة أيّوبة" التي ستعطي اللاجئات المتفوقات الحق في التعليم.
ولد هذا المشروع من شغف ومصاعب أناس حقيقيين، ف"أيّوبة" ليست صوت المرأة الفلسطينية فقط بل صوت النساء في كل مكان.
• من هن الممثلات؟
- أيّوبة
عليّة الخالدي، مخرجة وممثلة ومحاضرة جامعية ومدربة من الجنسية الفلسطينية اللبنانية. حصلت على درجة الماجستير في الإخراج والدكتوراه في المسرح العربي من المملكة المتحدة. قامت بإخراج العديد من المسرحيات مثل: مسرحية الهلافيت (1994) للكاتب المسرحي المصري محمود دياب، ومسرحية المخلوطة (2010)، وهي مسرحية للتوعية حول الصحة النفسية لأطباء بلا حدود قدمت في مخيم برج البراجنة للاجئين الفلسطينيين، ومسرحية ٨٠ درجة (2013) للكاتبة رندة خالدي، وتم اختيارها لتمثيل لبنان في مسابقة مهرجان المسرح العربي في الشارقة، في يناير 2014. في عام 2016، كتبت وأخرجت "عنبرة" و هي قصة رائدة نسوية عربية في لبنان. تم اختيارها لتمثيل لبنان في أيام قرطاج المسرحية، في تونس في نوفمبر 2016. كما ترجمت عنبرة إلى اللغة الألمانية وقدمت كقراءة مسرحية في مسرح ريزيدنس في ميونيخ في منصة المسرح العالمي في أبريل 2017. مثلت عليّة أيضا في العديد من المسرحيات آخرها مسرحية "أيّوبة" (2016) للمخرج عوض عوض. شاركت في فيلم روائي طويل واحد، 1982 (2019) من إخراج وليد مونس الذي حصل على جوائز في (TIFF 2019) ومهرجان الجونة السينمائي (2019). تكمن اهتماماتها البحثية بشكل رئيسي في أولى أشكال المسرح العربي كالحكواتي، وخيال الظل، وتحرير المرأة، والمسرح العربي المعاصر. تقوم عليّة بالتدريب على فنون الخطابة بالإضافة إلى تدريب مقدمي البرامج التلفزيونية ، لأكثر من 15 عاما.
- أيّوبة
تالا نشار، ممثلة ومخرجة مسرحية سورية. تخرجت من الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية بدرجة البكالوريوس في الفنون المسرحية والتحقت في العديد من صفوف الفلسفة. عملت في العديد من المسرحيات التي اشتهرت محليًا مثل "أنا لست مزهرية" من إخراج لينا أبيض و"أيّوبة" لعوض عوض. وقد تجسد العملان في قصص صمود اللاجئات اللواتي عملت تالا معهن عن كثب. قامت بإقتباس و إخراج نصين فلسفيين كلاسيكيين “هوي كلوس”لجان بول سارتر (٢٠١٧) ، و” بإنتظار غودو” لصموئيل بيكيت (٢٠١٩). تعاونت تالا مع محترفين في السينما والمسرح والبرامج التلفزيونيةاللبنانية كمساعدة مخرج ومنتج ومديرة مسرح وباحثة مواهب.
- ملحن الموسيقى
الدكتور عمرو سليم، موسيقي ومعلم مصري. بدأ العزف على البوق الفرنسي في العاشرة من عمره و إلتحق بدوام كامل مع أوركسترا القاهرة السيمفونية في سن 16. أوصلته موسيقاه على جميع أنحاء الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وأوروبا والشرق الأوسط وكوريا الجنوبية؛ حيث كان يؤدي كموسيقي أوركسترا، وألف الموسيقى للعروض والأفلام، وعازف منفرد، و موسيقى الحُجرة وأداء أنشطة تعليمية مختلفة. يركز بحثه على موسيقى المنطقة العربية والموسيقى في الإسلام; وقد قدم محاضرات وورش عمل حول هذه المواضيع في جامعة نيويورك،MSM ،كلية كوينز، جامعة سانتا كلارا، كلية ميشن وجامعة ستوني بروك حيث حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الموسيقى. يعمل الدكتور سليم كأستاذ الموسيقى في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية في بيروت، لبنان حيث بدأ مبادرة Imagine مع زوجته، عازفة البيانو الدكتورة صبا علي. تتضمن Imagine برنامج إقامة، أول معسكر للفنون الصيفية في المنطقة، ومهرجان أفلام للأطفال وقريبا بودكاست. تعاون عمرو مع العديد من الفنانين والمجموعات الشهيرة مثل Yo-Yo Ma و The Silkroad Ensemble وأعضاء Emerson Quartet وApple Hill Quartet و San Francisco Symphony و Metropolitan Opera، من بين آخرين. تراوحت هذه التعاونات من الموسيقى التقليدية الكلاسيكية إلى الموسيقى الشعبية والعروض العالمية الأولى على أساس الموسيقى غير الغربية. هو المؤسس المشاركلـ Gadayel Duo الذي عرض لأول مرة أكثر من اثني عشر عملا مكتوبا لـالبوق و البيانو, Eldad Tarmu Wind Sextet مع أخر أعمالهم "قصص الزجاج الملون" و Common Sounds, مجموعة من الموسيقيين العالميين المقيمين في سان خوسيه, كاليفورنيا.
• كيف يمكنكم المساعدة ؟
في خضم ما يمر به لبنان من محن، نؤمن أن فيلم أيّوبة سيكون أداةً للتغيير. إن صناعة الأفلام في هذه الأوقات من شأنه أن يرفع منمعنويات الممثلين والطاقم والجمهور الذين يعانون من أسوأ أزمة مالية وأكثر التجارب صدمة بعد الانفجار الكارثي في ميناء بيروت في 4 أغسطس 2020. كما وأن صناعة أفلام فلسطينية تنبثق من وجدان اللاجئين، يأتي تأكيدًا على حق الفلسطينيين في وطنٍ مستقل، خاصةً فيوقتٍ يتآمر فيه الكثيرين على القضية وحق عودة اللاجئين.
نطلب الدعم من كل المهتمين بمساعدة مشروعنا كي يبصر النور. لدينا القصة، الممثلات، والشغف، نحن بحاجة فقط للتنفيذ!
سيتم توزيع الميزانية عبر مراحل ما قبل الإنتاج والتصوير وما بعد التصوير، وهذا سيغطي الرواتب والمعدات والديكور والمواقع. كما نودأن نحتفظ بمبلغ من ميزانيتنا كصندوق لإنشاء "منحة أيّوبة".
نعتقد أنه إذا تم تنفيذ أيّوبة، ستصل إلى مجموعة واسعة وعدد كبير من الجماهير في جميع أنحاء العالم لاسيما المهرجانات على إختلافها.
