Ayudemos a Héctor a continuar la batalla

Queridas amigas y amigos,

Nuestro querido Héctor Lázaro González acaba de llegar este jueves, 21 de diciembre de 2023, a Miami, Florida, luego de pasar dos semanas hospitalizado en San Diego, California, bajo tratamiento y atención médica. Ha llegado con un catéter nuevo, bien puesto, y no en su corazón, y un poco más repuesto, pero todavía sigue necesitando nuestra ayuda.

Héctor pasó casi un mes de travesía desde Nicaragua a Estados Unidos, en busca de una oportunidad para salvar su vida. Desde 2018, Héctor sufre de una insuficiencia renal y se realiza diálisis, pero en Cuba su salud se deterioró muchísimo debido a la gran crisis en que se encuentra el país, y en particular, su sistema de salud.

A San Diego Héctor llegó con el cuerpo tremendamente maltratado, con el catéter número 24 en el corazón, mal puesto e infestado, y allí encontró un equipo de médicos que lo atendió e hizo todo lo que estuvo a su alcance para enmendar el deterioro de su salud. Pero allí no pudo quedarse, porque no contaba con una red de apoyo, y por eso decidió venir para Miami, donde la comunidad cubana es mayor.

Sin embargo, sólo nos queda 1338 dólares de la recaudación anterior, y necesitamos recaudar otro poco para este primer momento. Para cualquier persona que llega sola a Estados Unidos por frontera el proceso es duro, pero para alguien con insuficiencia renal, lo es tres veces más.

Queremos recaudar algo para cubrir los tres o cuatro primeros meses en Miami, con gastos mínimos, y ganar tiempo para que él haga los trámites necesarios, localice un hospital donde recibir diálisis y atenderse, y encuentre un trabajo que pueda realizar para mantenerse y seguir luchando por un riñón.

Cualquier cantidad suma. Hasta un dólar. Y si no puede donar dinero, pero tiene otras formas de ayudar, con ropa, un transporte en algún momento, o lo que sea, también le agradeceremos.

Our beloved Héctor Lázaro González just arrived this Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Miami, Florida, after spending two weeks hospitalized in San Diego, California, undergoing treatment and medical care. Héctor spent almost a month traveling from Nicaragua to the United States, looking for an opportunity to save his life. We want to raise something to cover the first three or four months in Miami, with minimal expenses, and get some time for him to do the necessary paperwork, locate a hospital where he can receive dialysis and care, and find a job he can do to support himself and continue fighting and waiting for a kidney transplant.

Any amount counts. Even a dollar. And if you can't donate money, but you have other ways to help, with clothes, a ride to some place, or whatever, we'll appreciate that too.
