El exmundialista de España 1982, Francisco “Pancho” Osorto, estuvo ingresado por 12 días en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Diagnóstico en la colonia Escalón, San Salvador, a causa de una cirrosis hepática. Los médicos que lo trataron le dijeron que necesita un trasplante de hígado completo que sólo se pueden realizar en Buenos Aires, Argentina, o en Houston, Texas, Estados Unidos.
En sus propias palabras Pancho dijo, "Yo necesito una consulta con unos hepatólogos porque mis papeles ya los tienen allá en Buenos Aires y en Houston, que son los lugares que están haciendo un trasplante de hígado completo. Necesito un permiso de un vuelo humanitario. No sé cuánto me va a costar porque tienen que examinarme allá y ya les mandamos todo, entonces ellos quieren verme"
En estos momentos Francisco tiene un vuelo para atterizar en Houston en unos dias. Reunámonos y ayudemos a Pancho, para pagarle la alegría que le trajo al país por clasificar al mundial de 1982.
