On November 8, while working on his motorcycle for a delivery company in Venezuela, he was hit by a car that fled the accident site and left him lying on the road. He suffered a fractured femur, two broken ribs, and a punctured lung, but he was lucky to be alive. The high costs of health services in Venezuela make immediate medical attention and prompt recovery impossible. The high price of ambulance transportation services and X-ray and tomography studies have depreciated the capacity to respond to the constant requests for studies for its operation.
