¿Quiénes somos y qué hacemos?
Fundación Milat es una institución sin fines de lucro ubicada en Viena cuyo objetivo fundamental es la integración de la comunidad latina migrante en el mundo, así como la difusión de nuestra cultura a nivel internacional.
Nuestro trabajo abarca diversas áreas tales como inclusión, cooperación internacional, acción social, formación, salud y deporte, aula Milat y por supuesto, cultura y sociedad. En esta última nace nuestra orquesta como un proyecto social con la finalidad suprema de mejorar las condiciones de vida de todos los participantes y su entorno.
Hace tres años cuando comenzamos con los lineamientos y construcción de esta institución, llegamos al consenso de lo difícil que es ser migrante, esto por diversos factores como el idioma, la cultura, los procesos migratorios, etc, fue ahí que supimos que debíamos tomar acción.
Bastante ha sucedido en el transcurso de los años: crisis migratorias y hasta una pandemia que sólo han hecho reafirmar que debemos estar, aún más presente, con nuestra comunidad latina.
¿Qué tiene de especial nuestro proyecto y por qué necesita de tu ayuda?
Imagina que vives en un país que es muy distinto al tuyo con un idioma diferente, una nueva cultura y un sistema de integración totalmente nuevo para ti y tu familia. Cuando pensábamos en cómo ayudar, justo llegó a nosotros este hermoso proyecto y decidimos llevarlo a cabo aún en medio de la pandemia.
En este sentido, la orquesta nace desde la necesidad de incluir e integrar a los más pequeñitos, niños/as que comparten el mismo idioma con familias, antepasados o afinidad con la cultura latina y que sientan alguna motivación o interés por la música aún fuera de sus fronteras.
1) Nuestro proyecto es especial porque somos pioneros como fundación que fomenta la música en niños migrantes latinos en Europa.
2) Nos enfocamos en el trabajo con niños y jóvenes que pueden comunicarse en español, independiente de su nacionalidad, origen o condición social.
3) El departamento de Inclusión, junto a nuestra pedagoga social, trabaja estrechamente con la orquesta para fomentar a través de la música los procesos de adaptación e integración de niños latinos.
4) Difundimos el amplio e invaluable legado cultural no sólo por medio de la música, sino que también a través de diversas áreas culturales latinoamericanas.
5) El equipo Milat está conformado por miembros de 11 países distintos; casi todos son artistas. Valoramos su labor, ofrecemos una remuneración digna y apoyamos su trabajo.
¿Qué se va a lograr con el proyecto?
Los niños podrán desde una fase de iniciación hasta una más avanzada ejecutar un instrumento de manera profesional a nivel infantil.
Además, la orquesta les brindará la posibilidad de interactuar con la música, conociendo a reconocidos profesionales en el área, asistiendo a conciertos de otros músicos, entre otros.
No deja de ser relevante el hecho que nuestro proyecto está siendo impulsado desde Viena, capital mundial de la música clásica, por las oportunidades y beneficios que esto representa, tanto para los participantes como para el proyecto en sí.
En este sentido, si bien existen muchas orquestas en Europa, no hay otro proyecto que trabaje específicamente con niños migrantes latinos, lo que permitirá a nuestra comunidad hispanohablante ganarse un espacio en la escena cultural europea.
Queremos ser un referente para otras instituciones y proyectos similares, por eso trabajaremos conjuntamente con organizaciones tanto en Austria, como Europa y Latinoamérica.
El proyecto difundirá por el mundo la cultura, el arte y la música latinoamericana, abocando siempre a la unión e identidad de la comunidad latina, independiente de donde se encuentre.
¿Para qué necesitamos tu ayuda?
¡Ahora la parte difícil!
El proyecto de orquesta es costoso y no podemos, por el momento, financiarlo en su totalidad...por eso recurrimos a ti.
Con tu ayuda podremos financiar la compra de los instrumentos: Cellos (valor mínimo 350 euros), Viola (100 euros) y Violines (100 euros), atriles, material de estudio, arriendo de salas para las clases particulares y ensayos de orquesta, sueldo de los profesores, presentaciones y giras (cuando eventualmente se pueda), etc.

Con tu donación, independiente del monto, estarás difundiendo la cultura latina y ayudándonos a mejorar la calidad de vida de una familia y su entorno.
¿Qué obtendrán los participantes?
Clases particulares con profesores con larga experiencia artística, clases grupales y ensayos de orquesta, instrumentos a su disposición, material didáctico, cómodas salas de ensayo, un equipo completo y competente de apoyo en temas de inclusión.....una experiencia única e inolvidable.

Who are we and what do we do?
Fundación Milat is a non-profit organisation whose primary objective is to integrate the Latino migrant communities around the world as well as the diffusion of our culture at an international level. Our work encompasses numerous areas such as international cooperation, social action, training, health and sports, teaching and most importantly, the interrelation between culture and society. Furthermore, our orchestra was born as a social project with the supreme purpose of improving the living conditions and the environment of all participants as well as bridge the gap between culture and societal integration
Three years ago, when we started with the guidelines and construction of this organisation, we came to realisation of how difficult it is to be a migrant considering several factors such as language, culture, migration processes etc, hence we took it upon us to act and help the societal integration of migrants. Over the past years, a lot has happened which includes several migration crises as well as the pandemic that has only reaffirmed our conviction for strengthening our presence in the Latino community.
What is so special about our project and why does it need your help?
Imagine living in a country very different from your home country with a different language, new culture, and a whole new integration system for you and your family. When we were thinking about how we could help, this beautiful project came to mind and we decided to carry it out even amidst the pandemic.
Moreover, the orchestra was born from the need to include and integrate the little ones, children who share the same language with families, ancestors, or affinity with the Latin culture and who feel some motivation or interest in music even outside their borders.
1) Our project is special because as a foundation, we are pioneers in promoting music for Latin migrant children in Europe.
2) We focus on working with children and young people who can communicate in Spanish, regardless of their nationality, origin, or social status.
3) The Inclusion department, together with our social pedagogue, work closely with the orchestra to through music to promote the process of adaptation and integration of Latino children.
4) We disseminate the broad and invaluable Latin cultural legacy not only through music, but also through various Latin American cultural areas.
5) The Milat team is made up of members from 11 different countries in which a substantial amount of them are artists. We value and support their work thus why we offer them a decent remuneration.
What will the project achieve?
The children will be able to play an instrument at children's level, from a professional standpoint guiding them from an introductory stage to more advanced ones.
In addition, the orchestra will give them the opportunity to interact with music, meeting renowned professionals in this area and attending concerts of other musicians.
It is also a relevant fact that our project is being promoted from Vienna which is the world capital of classical music because of the opportunities and benefits that this presents for both the participants and for the project itself.
Although there are many orchestras in Europe, there is no other project that works specifically with Latino migrant children that allows the Spanish-speaking community to gain a space in the European cultural scene.
We want to be a reference for other institutions and similar projects. For that reason, we will work together with the Austrian, European and Latin American organizations with whom we share common goals.
The project will spread Latin American culture, art, and music around the world with the sole aim of always focusing on the union and identity of the Latin community regardless of the location.
Why do we need your help?
Now for the hard part!!!
The orchestra project is expensive and for the time being, we cannot finance it in its entirety, hence we are we are turning to you.
We believe with your help, we will be able to finance the purchase of some musical instruments as well as cater for miscellaneous expenses for example Cellos (minimum value 350 euros), Viola (100 euros) and Violins (100 euros), music stands, study material, room rentals for private lessons and orchestra rehearsals, teachers' salaries, performances, and tours (when eventually possible), etc.
How can you help us?
With your donation, regardless of the amount, you will be spreading the Latin culture as well as devoting yourself as a service to humanity by helping us improve the quality of life of these children, their families, and their environments.
What will the participants receive?
Private lessons with teachers with long artistic experience, group lessons and orchestral rehearsals, instruments at their disposal, didactic material, comfortable rehearsal rooms, a complete and competent support team for inclusion. In other words: a unique, enriching, and unforgettable experience!
