Ayla's World Championship fund

In the recent World Championship tryouts, I was honored to qualify to compete as a youth rider for the U.S.A. on my horse Mári Frá Kolgerði in F1 Five Gait.   Competing at the World Championships is an opportunity of a lifetime for me as a competitor and trainer.  It is also an exciting possibility for the Icelandic horse community here in the states to send not only a home grown youth rider but also a horse-rider combo with a very promising competitive record.  In recent years the USA has sent extremely few riders that reside here in the states and for quite some time we have not had any qualifying youth riders. This is my last year to compete as a Youth Rider in the World Championships and I feel that Mári and I have a fair chance of being internationally competitive.
My goal for the next 3 years is to gain substantial amounts of experience and knowledge that I can continue to pass on and share with future students and clients here in the states. My eventual goal is to have a farm located in the US that offers sales, teaching, training, and breeding of the Icelandic horse as well as to continue to competitively represent the USA on an international scale.  I feel taking Mári to the World Championships would be an incredible step in the direction of those goals.
The challenge is that I do not currently have the funds to cover the expense of the trip to Holland for Mári and myself. A budget of $20,000 has been developed and it has become clear that without the support of the Icelandic horse community and other sponsors I will not be able to attend. Currently, I have raised $9,500 for the event from various very generous sponsors. As of now, I have until the 4th of July to confirm my participation in the World Championships.  I would be very grateful if you would consider supporting Mári and I so we can represent the U.S.A. whether it be with a monetary donation or some other in-kind contribution.
It would be an honor to do the best to show the world how far competitive riding and training has come in the US.

Yours,
Ayla Green
